![]() Art by: Scott Kolins Cover by: Scott Kolins Written by: Joshua Williamson U.S. Price: $4.99 On Sale Date: Jan 30, 2019 Page Count: 48 In the HEROES IN CRISIS miniseries, Wally West was taken to Sanctuary, a mental health facility for superheroes. Sometime after his arrival, a person at the facility — possibly Harley Quinn or Booster Gold — massacred multiple patients, including Wally. We saw some brief scenes with Barry in the miniseries, but nothing too substantial. That changes with this issue. So THE FLASH ANNUAL #2 preview begins with Bart Allen (AKA Impulse) returning home after years of being written out of continuity. He first came back during the FLASH WAR arc, and now he’s ready to make his presence known to his future family, the Wests and the Allens. Unfortunately, when he arrives, no one’s home. That’s because Barry’s occupied. He arrives at Sanctuary and silently holds Wally’s costume in his hands. He remembers his friend and the skepticism he had in sending Wally to Sanctuary in the first place. It’s too much for him and he runs away. The preview ends there, but we’ve yet to see how Godspeed factors into all this. He’s on the cover, so he must appear sometime later in the issue. Also, where does Impulse go from here? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
