Krakoa has fallen, but mutantkind still needs the X-Men.

In UNCANNY X-MEN (2024) #2 by Gail Simone and David Marquez, Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine come face-to-face with the next generation of mutants: Becca Constance Simon-Pinette, AKA Calico; Hotoru, AKA Deathdream; Sofia Yong, AKA Jitter; and Valentin Correa, AKA Ransom. As their first encounter gets off to an explosive start in the Louisiana swamps, Dr. Corina Ellis confronts one of her mutant prisoners at the X-Mansion-turned-prison.

A special first look at UNCANNY X-MEN (2024) #2 pits Gambit against Calico, whose psychic connection to her horse Ember allows her to manifest new forms for her steed, and Jitter, who can channel any skill or power for a very brief period of time. Meanwhile, Wolverine faces Deathdream, whose death state allows him to summon souls and the power of the unliving. In one page, Dr. Ellis stalks the halls of the X-Mansion with Captain Ezra, her second in command, while she confronts her prisoner Siryn in another.

Ah, ils sont chiants. J'ai pour principe de ne plus m'intéresser aux nouveaux mutants, vu qu'ils finissent toujours remisés dans un coin au mieux, ou tués au pire, mais ceux-là ont l'air bien cool.

Ce serait bien si Simone mettait petit à petit Wolverine et compagnie en retrait (sauf sur les couvs, bien sûr) pour mettre l'accent sur ces personnages-là.

C'est pour le moment une équipe très réduite de X-Men dans ce titre, juste Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine et Nightcrawler.
J'espère qu'on ira pas au-delà et qu'on mettra en effet en avant ces nouveaux personnages.
Mine de rien, le dernier nouveau personnage qui a perduré au fil des ans, c'est Gambit, non?
Gail Simone semble bien partie en tout cas et David Marquez aussi!

Dans les persos qui ont dures il y a x23 qui a eu plusieurs séries et faut pas oublier le coeur de l univers Marvel la mutante miss Marvel

J'imagine qu'à la fin du numéro, ils se rendent compte que c'est un gros malentendu et ils sont sont tous copains. Ca donne moyen envie quand même. Et je suis pas super fan de David Marquez non plus.

C'est hélas vrai. Dommage, j'aime bien leur style, à ceux-là. Je sacrifierais direct Rogue, Gambit, Kurt et Logan à S(a)tan pour les garder en vie.

Le soucis vient selon moi des auteurs qui veulent marquer leur territoire en faisant souvent table rase de ce qu'a pu faire le prédécesseur pour imposer un nouveau casting de personnages secondaires, un nouvel intérêt amoureux pour le héros,etc...
