	Yesterday, DC put together a sad but also wonderful tribute celebrating my friend and frequent collaborator, George Pérez. George had arranged for a signing for DC staffers and editorial and everyone brought books for him to autograph. Before the signing, we joined Jim Lee and Mike Carlin (photo below) for lunch at Ca Del Sole, a fabulous Italian restaurant not far from the DC offices. As many of you probably know, George has pancreatic cancer, but I can tell you was in great spirits, laughing and recounting stories, talking comics and much more for hours, without even taking a single break. I, on the other hand, had to take several. Yes, everybody knows he's an amazing artist ,but he's also the best and most caring person I know. George is remarkable positive force. There will never be anyone like him again.
