Additional Tie-In Issues of The Flash and I Am Batman and Two New Dark Crisis One-Shots Announced

Variant Cover Homage to Justice League of America #21 by Rafael Sarmento Revealed for Dark Crisis #2

The Great Darkness is growing its reach. With two new one-shots and additional tie-in issues, this year’s Dark Crisis event just got bigger.

The Supersons are going on separate missions to stop Pariah's attacks on the Multiverse! In October's Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green #1, Jon Kent joins forces with Swamp Thing, John Constantine and more to explore the spread of the Great Darkness's influence on the Multiverse and beyond. While in November's Dark Crisis: The Dark Army #1, Damian Wayne, Doctor Light and a ragtag team of heroes cross enemy lines to steal control of the Dark Army from Pariah. But in the process uncover a secret about Doctor Light's place in Crisis on Infinite Earths that rocks the future of the DCU! Creative talent teams for both issues will be announced at a later date.

"Thank you to all the readers and retailers that have shown their support and excitement for Dark Crisis,” said writer Joshua Williamson. “We are growing the story with these new and crucial issues to explore the massive impact that Dark Crisis will have on the DC Universe going into 2023. I can’t wait for fans to get their hands on Dark Crisis #1 next week to see the beginning of this journey.”

Originally slated to tie-in to issues #783-#785 of The Flash, the Dark Crisis event will now include The Flash #786 by writer Jeremy Adams and artist Amancay Nahuelpan. Wally West is exhausted, and has been running nonstop since even before he had to step up in the wake of the loss of the Justice League. But, as he's figured out what he needs to do to free Barry (while also keeping Wallace from falling into Pariah's plans), he's also long overdue for a chat with Linda.

Also revealed for the first time is that I Am Batman #15 from writer John Ridley, releasing in November, will connect to Dark Crisis. Story details and full creative team will be announced at a later date.

DC is revealing a new Dark Crisis #2 open to order homage variant cover from Rafal Sarmento (Action Comics) paying tribute to Justice League of America #21 (Crisis on Earth One). Originally released on August 7, 1963, Justice League of America #21 was written by Gardner Fox, artwork by Mike Sekowsky, inks by Bernard Sachs and the cover was done by Ira Schnapp, Mike Sekowsky and Murphy Anderson. DC UNIVERSE INFINITE premium subscribers can read the issue here.

Nouveau titre avec DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead dès septembre par Bruce Campbell (oui, oui) et Eduardo Risso :

This fall, a DC icon returns… and so do the dead in DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead.

The story begins in Berlin, 1944. The Nazis are flanked on all fronts by the combined Allied forces, and defeat seems inevitable. In a last-ditch effort to turn the tide of the war, Hitler and his team of evil scientists create a serum that resurrects their dead soldiers, creating an army of the dead even stronger than they were in life.

Sgt. Rock, hero of the European Theatre, and his Easy Company find themselves dispatched into enemy territory to face off against the strangest, most horrific enemies they’ve encountered yet: Nazi Zombies.

Written by the expert in battling the evil dead, Bruce Campbell (Ash Vs. Evil Dead), this six issue miniseries is an action-packed, terrifying adventure. Eisner and Harvey Award-Winning Artist Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets) brings the battlefield to gruesome life as the Easy Company tears across Europe.

And if you’re not afraid of gore, Issue #1, on sale September 27, will have a Duffel Bag Gore variant cover drawn by Frank Quitely (The Authority) too gruesome to even show you. Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead) is back drawing zombies for the first time since he wrapped up his run on The Walking Dead in a 1:25 variant. Issue #1 will also have a variant cover drawn by Francesco Francavilla (Batman: Black Mirror), a 1:50 variant drawn by Chris Mooneyham (Joker Presents: A Puzzlebox), a 1:100 variant by Pia Guerra (Y: The Last Man), and main cover by Gary Frank (Supergirl) in an all-star artists line-up.
