Old Lady Harley obtient son propre titre : après Harley Quinn #42, Frank Tieri et Mauricet vont conter la suite des aventures de Harley Quinn dans le futur dans une mini-série en 5 épisodes du même nom débutant en octobre :

Citation:
The future is here puddin’, and so is…OLD LADY HARLEY? Spinning out of the events of HARLEY QUINN #42, Harley is back—30 years older, a little wiser and a WHOLE lot crazier!

“Think of it this way… if HARLEY QUINN #42 was your appetizer, then OLD LADY HARLEY, that’s your main course right there,” said writer Frank Tieri. “Your big, fat prime rib with a fully loaded baked potato, creamed spinach with everything is covered in gravy.”

This five-issue mini-series offers a deeper dive into why Harley left “and through flashbacks we’ll see what went on between Harley and the Joker and how it drove her into seclusion.”

After liberating New York City from her now-feral Gang of Harleys, poor Harley wants nothing more than to slip back into retirement in her coastal (and heavily guarded) paradise. But the Laughing Boys Gang has another idea—they’ll follow her to the ends of the Earth, to drag her back to their leader! It can’t actually be...him! Right?! He couldn’t still be alive could he? After all…Harley killed him herself with her bare hands! Should she turn to President Power Girl for help! Or flee to the 51st state, Atlantis? Step into an insane version of a future DC Universe we all better hope we don’t live to see!

From the creative team of writer Frank Tieri with art by Mauricet, comes OLD LADY HARLEY #1 out October 24, 2018.

Citation:
As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint will relaunch this fall with seven new comic book series showcasing original stories about hot button topics from creators inside and outside of the comic book industry.

In addition to creators like Mark Russell, Mike Dowling, Mirka Andolfo and Ramon Villalobos — all of whom have worked for DC, and in some cases, the Vertigo imprint, previously — the new books also feature a number of names making their comic book debuts, including video game developer and writer Zoe Quinn, Nine Inch Nails art director Rob Sheridan and sex education podcaster Tina Horn, with the subject matter of series including white supremacy, virtual reality deities and sex workers struggling to survive in a repressed future dystopia.

The seven new series — listed below —will, alongside the already-announced four-title Sandman Universe line, form the heart of the new Vertigo as the imprint refocuses its effort on what DC is describing as “modern, socially relevant, high-concept, inventive” material.

At the center of the move is Mark Doyle, who stepped into the position of DC Vertigo executive editor last year after a stint as editor of the Batman comic book group, during which he edited the best-selling run by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, as well as overseeing critically acclaimed titles like Gotham Academy, Grayson and Batgirl.

“It’s time to rebuild DC Vertigo,” Doyle said in a statement. “We’re returning to our roots by spotlighting the most exciting new voices in comics, as well as bringing new voices to comics. From the corners of television, games, music, activism, podcasting, comics and more, all of our creators are passionate and have something to say. These sophisticated stories have amazing new characters and vast worlds to explore. That’s what it has always been about for me — new stories, new voices, new possibilities. We’re creating a new generation of DC Vertigo classics for readers of all genres.”

Citation:
Like Overwatch or Battle Royale, ELECTRIC WARRIORS will feature a team of unique, memorable leads representing a wide spectrum of readers in a setting rife with danger and adventure,” said Orlando. “This is the unexplored future of Jack Kirby's DC Universe, rising from the Great Disaster of Kamandi. If the Legion of Superheroes is the universe's Age of Enlightenment, the setting of ELECTRIC WARRIORS is more akin to the Dark Ages.

DC a annoncé le crossover The Witching Hour écrit par James Tynion IV entre Wonder Woman et Justice League Dark hebdomadaire au mois d’octobre avec 2 numéros spéciaux où Hécate viendra se déchainer.

Citation:
Wonder Woman and the heroes of JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK (yes, Detective Chimp and Man-Bat too!) are just learning how to work together when they’re presented with their most dangerous challenge yet in WONDER WOMAN AND JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: THE WITCHING HOUR, an event that promises to rewrite the future of DC’s magical heroes.

Writer James Tynion IV and an all-star lineup of artists take over October, just in time for Halloween, with this five-part weekly series. This is the first event in the “New Justice” family of titles (JUSTICE LEAGUE, JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, JUSTICE LEAGUE ODYSSEY, TITANS, TEEN TITANS), featuring two 48-page one-shots and also playing out in the pages of both WONDER WOMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, with all issues written by Tynion IV.

Part one, WONDER WOMAN AND JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: THE WITCHING HOUR #1, with art by Jesus Merino, sets the tone for the Wonder Woman-centered event. In this 48-page debut one-shot, Hecate, the witch-goddess of magic, always knew a day would come when the monsters she stole her magic from would return. Now she must activate the Witchmarked, humans within whom she secreted vast stores of power. This hits Justice League Dark especially hard: one of the most powerful of the Witchmarked turns out to be Wonder Woman! WONDER WOMAN AND JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: THE WITCHING HOUR #1 is on sale October 3.

WONDER WOMAN #56, with art by Emanuela Lupacchino and Ray McCarthy, pushes part two of “The Witching Hour” into new, magical, territory. After barely escaping its first encounter with Hecate, the Justice League Dark knows that she’ll be back for the power inside Wonder Woman! But what if Diana could tap into that power herself? Would she be a match for the evil witch-goddess? WONDER WOMAN #56 hits shelves October 10.

Part three, on sale October 17, is JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #4 with art by series regulars Alvaro Martinez and Raul Fernandez. Everything the Justice League Dark thought they knew about Wonder Woman and Hecate has proven to be wrong...and the Parliament of Trees is about to pay the price! Hecate knows this world isn’t strong enough to resist the Otherkind, so she’s going to burn it down and replace it with a world of her own...starting with that ancient grove!

Emanuela Lupacchino and Ray McCarthy return on October 24 for “The Witching Hour” part four in WONDER WOMAN #57. As Hecate’s new world is born, Wonder Woman is under the goddess’ total control! This is magic’s darkest hour—one of the most powerful magicians of all time may not survive!

“The Witching Hour” concludes in a 48-page finale on October 31! In JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK AND WONDER WOMAN: THE WITCHING HOUR #1 with art by Jesus Merino, Zatanna battles for Wonder Woman’s soul—and the rest of the Justice League Dark battle for their lives! Hecate is more powerful than the Greek Gods...and no matter who wins, the Earth will lose its chance of surviving the war that’s coming!

WONDER WOMAN AND JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: THE WITCHING HOUR #1 will have a cover by Jesus Merino and a variant cover by Riccardo Federici.

WONDER WOMAN #56 will have an enhanced foil cover by Yasmine Putri and a variant cover by Jenny Frison.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #4 will have an enhanced foil cover by Riley Rossmo and a variant cover by Greg Capullo and Jonathan Glapion.

WONDER WOMAN #57 will have a cover by Yasmine Putri and a variant cover by Jenny Frison.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK AND WONDER WOMAN: THE WITCHING HOUR #1 will have a cover by Jesus Merino and a variant cover by Riccardo Federici.
