POLLY AND HER PALS: COMPLETE SUNDAY COMICS, 1928-1930

Cliff Sterrett (w & a & c)

This volume reprints all of Sterrett's Sunday pages from the height of his Surrealistic Period in a large 12" x 16" Champagne Edition format so they can be fully appreciated. The majority of the Sundays have never before been reprinted.

Polly Perkins is young, blonde, and the apple of many a young man's eye. Yet while Polly is out on the town or frolicking at the beach, it's her family that creates all the hubbub!

Edited by Dean Mullaney and designed by two-time Emmy winner Lorraine Turner, the book contains the detailed background and biographic material that has made Library of American Comics the "gold standard" in strip reprints.

160 pages, $75.

DEAD SQUAD #5

Matthew Federman & Stephen Scaia (w), Michael Montenat (a), Dave Hartman (c)

It's a battle on the high seas as Blake, Hooper, and Vargas confront Fisher and his renegade army. With the biotics reprogrammed to kill rather than resurrect, Fisher now holds the greatest tool for assassination the world has ever known. With little time left, and little hope of saving their own skins, the Dead Squad must put a stop to their former commander's plans, even if doing so means spending all eternity in the Inferno.

32 pages, $3.99.

DOBERMAN

Scott Marder, Rob Rosell, Jack Lambert (w), Brandon McKinney (a), Bernard Chang (c)

Frank Doberman was the greatest detective of his era with the fastest car, biggest gun, and longest... um... arrest record. But after a drug bust went horribly wrong, Doberman disappeared, seeking solace in Mother Nature. Now lured back to the Force by the promise of vengeance, and an ice-cold six-pack, Doberman has to deal with a new age of computers, regulations, and an uber-villain whom the world seems to believe has changed his ways.

124 pages, $19.99

WINTERWORLD #0

Chuck Dixon (w), Tommy Lee Edwards (a & c), Butch Guice (c)

Tommy Lee Edwards comes to chill in Winterworld! This grand comics auteur joins with Chuck Dixon to create a single issue story that tells us of Wynn's life before she met Scully. This is the tale of one childhood that's brutal and short. We learn how Wynn survived alone in the frozen world of the future at an age when most kids are entering pre-school. Find out how Wynn became one tough teenager in this special event issue!

32 pages, $3.99.
