MAD MAGAZINE #5

Written and art by The Usual Gang of Idiots.
2018 is coming to a close -- and not a minute too soon! That means it's time for a look back at the 20 Dumbest People, Events and Things of the year. Plus, the Lighter Side returns with a look at the war on Christmas, Sergio Aragones takes a Mad look at the day after Christmas and more!
64 pages, $5.99, in stores on Dec. 19.

SASQUATCH DETECTIVE #1

Written by Brandee Stilwell, art by Ron Randall and Gus Vazquez, cover by Ben Caldwell.
Before Tonya Lightfoot became Los Angeles' most decorated detective, she was a wee sasquatch roaming the Appalachian mountains, fed a steady diet of tennis and golf (as both of her parents are pros at the local country club) and CSI episodes. But her idyllic life of pranking campers and squatching around the local golf course hits a bump in the fire road when Bigfoot hunters come to the dense forest. Would Tonya back down in the face of adversity? Not yeti! But experiencing this abominable anti-sasquatch sentiment gives her the determination to leave her home behind -- she heads to the dangers of the city. After all, it's hard to fight un-conscious bias, but crime is something America's sassiest sasquatch is ready to tackle. This special features a new 30-page lead story plus the backup stories from Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles #2-6.
64 pages, $7.99, in stores on Dec. 12.

SCOOBY APOCALYPSE #32

Written by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis, art by Patrick Olliffe and Tom Palmer, backup art by Gus Vazquez, cover by Chriscross, variant cover by Will Conrad.
While the resurrected Fred Jones unleashes his army of monsters on Scooby and the gang, Daphne continues to spiral further into guilt and depression, terrified of losing Fred twice. Fortunately, the gang has another secret weapon: Scrappy-Doo and his mysterious mentor. Plus, the trials of Atom Ant continue as another member of the JLA tests the super-insect to see if he's worthy of joining the League!
32 pages, $3.99, in stores on Dec. 12.

SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU? #96

Written by Ivan Cohen, art and cover by Walter Carzon and Horatio Ottolini.
The owners of an amusement park at a seaside resort hopes a new Ferris wheel will revive the local businesses, but no tourist attractions and freak shows can compete with real-life monsters! Can Scooby and the Mystery, Inc. gang capture a "Boardwalk Vampire"?
32 pages, $2.99, in stores on Dec. 19.
