Image Comics wand the Ghost Machine crew are upping the ante yet again with an eye-popping first look at the Ghost Machine universe’s next issue of the critically acclaimed, Rook: Exodus #2, by Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok, Brad Anderson, and Rob Leigh.

Following the high-stakes, breakout launch of Rook: Exodus #1, issue #2 introduces new allies and threats. With the imported animal population growing out of control and the world’s engine failing, the warden known only as Rook must now also face the power-hungry bear master Ursaw, who won’t rest until all of Exodus’ wardens are dead. As Dire Wolf also hunts down Rook, only one question remains about the wolves’ pack leader…is she friend or foe?
Ghost Machine’s groundbreaking creator collective was launched at New York Comic Con in October 2023 and features a global best-of-class lineup of artists and writers whose award-winning and iconic works include a who’s who of comic book legends such as Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Aquaman, Stargirl, JSA, The Flash, The Ultimates, Black Lightning, Green Arrow and countless more: Brad Anderson, Jason Fabok, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Geoff Johns, Rob Leigh, Lamont Magee, Francis Manapul, Brad Meltzer, Ivan Reis, Peter Snejbjerg, Peter J. Un #1 très prometteur.
Geoff JOHNS , comme à son habitude, distille les informations. Pour le premier numéro on en apprend un peu plus sur la planète et sur le lien qui existe entre un "chef" et ses animaux "totem".

Quant à l'esthétique, Jason FABOK fait du très bon travail. L'influence des années 80 en terme d'animation a été assumé depuis le début. Là quand je vois la voiture, j'ai cru que les "monstro-plantes n'étaient pas loin .
Et, je trouve que le gantelet sur l'avant bras droit fait très "Spawn".

Je te rejoins, je viens juste de lire le #1.
Après, il faut espérer que Jason Fabok s'y attelle depuis un moment vu son rythme très lent. Ne serait-ce que la double-page dans la cité, je n'ose imaginer combien de temps ça a dû lui prendre.

Je pense que le 1er arc est dans les clous d'ici septembre-octobre, après il faudra attendre...
