Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed a first look at variant covers and interior pages from G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #310 bylegendary series writer Larry Hama (Marvel’s Wolverine), guest artist Paul Pelletier (Aquaman), artist Tony Kordos (Batman & Robin Eternal) and colorist Francesco Segala (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Featuring covers by the incomparable Andy Kubert (Marvel’s X-Men), the iconic series’ issue #310 arrives in comic book shops on September 18, 2024.

It’s the battle for Springfield! Cobra Commander has a plan. And that means no one is safe, as the conflict between the Joes and Cobra escalates!

In addition to the main cover by Andy Kubert and colorist Nathan Fairburn, issue #310 will also feature an open-to-order variant cover with a black and white version of Kubert’s stunning main cover and will conclude the gorgeous 1:10 incentive cover series by Brad Walker (Detective Comics) and colorist Francesco Segala.

G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero is a cornerstone of the historic collaboration between Skybound and Hasbro, alongside the shared Energon Universe that features ongoing series Void Rivals by Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and artist Lorenzo De Felici (Oblivion Song), the two-time Eisner Award winningTRANSFORMERS by writer Daniel Warren Johnson and artist Jorge Corona (Middlewest), and the upcoming G.I. JOE by writer Joshua Williamson (Superman, Dark Ride) and artist Tom Reilly (The Thing). They are joined by Duke by writer Joshua Williamson and artist Tom Reilly, Cobra Commander by writer Joshua Williamson and artist Andrea Milana (Impact Winter: Rook), Scarlett, from writer Kelly Thompson (Black Widow, Birds of Prey) and artist Marco Ferrari (Frontiersman) and Destro, from writer Dan Watters (Loki, Universal Monsters: Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!) and artist Andrei Bressan (Dark Ride, Birthright), which round out the lineup of action-packed G.I. JOE miniseries that introduce the iconic characters of the G.I. JOE and Cobra factions to the separate continuity of the Energon Universe.

Skybound and Hasbro recently wrapped a history-making campaign for the Kickstarter-exclusive G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero Compendium Set which collects every issue of the original 1982 comic book series in four definitive hardcover compendiums. The campaign raised $3.7 million from over 10,000 backers and is now the most funded comics Kickstarter of all time.

G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #310 (Lunar Codes Below | SRP: $3.99) will be available on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
