The Slaughterverse is expanding, as Something is Killing the Children is getting a brand-new one-shot, Book of Slaughter, which will expand the world of the hugely popular BOOM! Studios comic book. The upcoming story, from James Tynion IV, Werther Dell'Edera, Miquel Muerto, and AndWorld Design, will turn the focus to White Mask Maxine Slaughter that will be a precursor to the upcoming chapters of Something is Killing the Children and House of Slaughter.


The one-shot will focus on White Mask Maxine Slaughter. The story will reveal more about the secrets of the Order of St. George and set the stage for future arcs for both SiKTC and House of Slaughter. Tynion IV shared Book of Slaughter will reveal more about the organization than ever before.

Book of Slaughter #1 will feature a "sizable guidebook" that dives into the deep lore of the Slaughterverse. Dell'Edera shared that Erica Slaughter's world is "bigger than anyone could have expected," and readers will see more of it explored. Eric Harburn, Executive Editor of BOOM! Studios said Maxime Slaughter's story will take a closer look at the mysterious nature of the Slaughterverse.
