In an interview with IESB, Fox;'s Tom Rothman discusses the possibility of a DAREDEVIL reboot (a la THE INCREDIBLE HULK). Tom Rothman: A Daredevil, to use your words, reboot, is something we are thinking very seriously about. IESB: Soon? ESB: I have to ask. TR: You've lost a lot a weight now Robert and you are going to live for a long time, this is the movie business, nothing is soon. ...says THIS REPORT at IESB, which also discusses Rothman's belief that a DAREDEVIL reworking would work best when guided by a director with a genuine vision (a la Christopher Nolan).
Rothman's statements are confounding given Fox's legendary disregard for artistic vision, and frequent interference with/contempt for film maker ( Alex Proyas being one example, Mathieu Kassovitz being another).
Ugly and awkward, Mark Steven Johnson's 2003 DAREDEVIL film actually looked like it was made by a blind man...a dubious accomplishment to be sure. Maybe they'll get luckier this time. |
