So I would'nt be so harsh on Urban for highlighting only the Wolfman/Perez run, we know already that vintage DC super-hero books other than Batman sell poorly in France. Maybe they will try in the future to publish the episodes with the return of Perez.

You can't expand a fanbase if you don't try to propose some "New" Stuff.

But DC comics has the same problem Urban have.. always proposing the same old stories, different editions, but always around the same stories /periods.

Marvel has a different view on the patrimonial stuff... They tends to propose EVERY single issuse they did publish ..even though some won't sell as much as others.

DC has so many laps in their patrimonial offers, and when some titles are Out of Print in a short time, they dont do reprints.

But they will propose a new collection with the same products. (Archives, Chronicles, Golden Age .. ) with the same gaps.. from early 70's to mid 80's.

Regarding the Titans, the Original series was published, in B/W format in France, and had its followers.

Despite their inconstant publishing policy, Aredit did create some good title that gained some following .. Jeunes T, Ligue de justice, and a few others had a more regular schedule wich permitted to gain and keep on followers.

That series (2 series.. newstand and direct market) laster alomost 190 issues ... 15 Years . written by the same writer. (Not uncle Claremont, the other one ^^ )

But of those 15 years, only the first 4 are being known to french audience, if you don't ttry to propsoe, you won't know if it can get an audience.

There are some lame issues after the wedding of Starfire (15)? some , yes.; but the titans came back to earth and disbanded (18), th NEw New TT (and Harper fights Chshire for th sake of the daughter -- 19 - 21) , Dick goes deep inside Brother Blood Organization (22) , the Hybrids and Zandia are lame Issues (23-28), Reign of Blood up to 31 , Return of the Hybrids, and end to the madness of mentho, Th Lords of the Ultra Realms X-Over, Wildebeest, Infinity Inc, Introducing sme ennemies of the JSA in the post CoIE, Return of Wildebeest, Raven, Gidiva, D H for Hero, Origins of Dany, Red Star and the Soviet Union...

And Who is Donna Troy /Wonder Girl (50) lame, but ful of things, actions, many stories told in so few issues. 50 - 60 are mostly drawn by Perez, who leaves the series in the Hands of Tom Grummett (who had just started his Career) ... who will draw almost all the issues to issue 100 .

The Following series , the Geoff Johns one, had a pretty good following in France, If read the sales figure right ... That series is a mirror to the Wolfman one ^^

The other point on wich DC has a bad politics, are the prices of their Collections, they are always more expensive than what Marvel Produce (and you can always fnd them at 50 to 80 % of their cover price... so... )
