Coming as no surprise and as was already indirectly revealed in their release of the year-end 2008 sales charts , Marvel's Secret Invasion #8 was the top-selling comic book of the month, DC's Joker OGN by Brian Azzarello was the best-selling trade of the month, and Marvel continued its string of wins in the Market Share categories, account for nearly 50% of all wholesale dollars spent by comic book Direct Market retailers last month.

Marvel took 49.63% of the "Retail" share (previously known as "Dollar") and 45.05% of the "Quantity" (i.e. "Unit") share.

Despite those leads, the Top 10 Comic Books were a little more diverse (relatively speaking) then in recent months, with DC placing 3 of the Top 10 and Marvel taking the other 7.
