Legendary writer Chris Claremont returns to the world of the X-Men in WOLVERINE AND KITTY PRYDE, continuing the story he set out to tell in 1984's KITTY PRYDE AND WOLVERINE. Alongside rising artist Damian Couceiro (X-MEN UNLIMITED, GROOT), Claremont will reveal the untold adventures of Wolverine and Shadowkat's time in Japan after the young mutant almost lost her soul to Ogun.
The new limited series takes place between the events of KITTY PRYDE AND WOLVERINE (1984) #6 and UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #192, before the titular characters made their return back to New York and the X-Men.
"It's really great returning to this arc, especially since it’s being presented by a wonderful artist, Damian Couceiro" Claremont said. "It’s the story of what happens between the end of the original KITTY PRYDE AND WOLVERINE mini-series and Logan and Pryde's return home to rejoin the X-Men. Five issues, more than a single story, complete with surprises galore!"
The preview for WOLVERINE AND KITTY PRYDE (2025) #1 opens with the two titular characters training in combat, with the young Shadowcat storming off after a disagreement. Later, Kitty Pryde rescues a young boy from abduction, phasing through the truck in which he is being held. Meanwhile, Wolverine launches himself at the assailant, claws out!
