Marvel Comics had ten dead titles walking out of their sixty-six new titles in May 2024. This means that 15% of Marvel Comics’ new titles in May 2024 were dead titles walking.
This was largely flat from the nine dead titles walking that Marvel Comics had in April 2024 which comprised 14% of Marvel Comics’ new titles.
Year-over-year numbers were way down as Marvel Comics had thirty dead titles walking in May 2023. This comprised 34% of Marvel Comics’ new titles in May 2023.
However, numbers were up from two years ago as Marvel Comics had seven dead titles walking in May 2022.

DC Comics had twenty-six dead titles walking out of DC Comics’ forty-three new titles in May 2024. This means that 60% of the New DC Comics’ titles in May 2023 were dead titles walking. That is a shocking percentage and the highest we have seen over the past three years.
This was up from the nineteen dead titles walking that DC Comics had in April 2024 which comprised 46% of DC Comics’ new titles.
Year-over-year numbers were also up as DC Comics had twenty dead titles walking in May 2023. This comprised 41% of DC Comics’ new titles in May 2023.
