Well, we finally know what’s been going on in Millarworld since it relocated to Netflix, as the streaming service announced Tuesday its first slate of films and series based on the stories of “Kick-Ass” and “Kingsman” comic book creator Mark Millar.

The lineup includes two TV shows: “Jupiter’s Legacy” (to be showrun by Steven S. DeKnight) and “American Jesus,” about a 12-year-old boy who discovers he’s reincarnated as Jesus. Netflix acquired Millar’s company last year and has been developing projects with Mark and his wife Lucy Millar ever since, including “The Magic Order,” which has been published as Netflix’s first comic book and was the biggest selling new comic-book franchise in nearly 20 years.

Je me demande si Netflix fera un jour un film sur Chrononauts. Bon faudrait un budget de 300m$ et refaire la moitié du scénario, mais alors il y a de quoi faire un blockbuster de dingue.

C'est quoi, le 42 ème projet de Millar annoncé chez Netflix ? Il y en a un qui va sortir un jour ?

Ben, c'est-à-dire que produire un film, l'adapter, le réaliser, tout ça prend un tout petit plus de temps que de faire une série en comics, où, à la base, il y a un scénariste et un dessinateur et... C'est tout.
Bon, là, en plus, "Reborn", c'est quand même de fantasy, donc ça nécessite un bon petit budget s'ils ne veulent pas faire un truc cheap. Sandra Bullock, je suis pas très fan, mais bon, c'est quand même une belle prise en ce moment, et elle aussi ne doit pas vouloir s'engager là-dedans à la légère.
Bref, je ne crois pas que ce soit de la mauvaise volonté, mais la volonté d'investir sérieusement sur les adaptations du "Millarworld".
