Many of you have probably already noticed that so far, no new comics, graphic novels and other merchandise coming from the USA have arrived yet this week. This is, suffice it to say, not normal.

Our goods are currently stuck at the cargo holds of the LUX airport because the transport company there does not have enough cargo trucks available this week to forward our goods to Brussels, where the custom clearance (import of goods into Belgium) needs to take place.

At the moment, the transport of our goods is scheduled for a Saturday morning delivery in Brussels. After which custom clearance will need to be done and once that is done, the boxes will finally be put on a truck and brought to us here in Diepenbeek.

So it will be Monday at the earliest, and possibly even Tuesday before this week's comics will arrive in our warehouse.

This is, to us, incomprehensible, that goods are held back for 4 days at a warehouse which is less than 300km from their destination after they have already flown thousands of km's. But this is how the situation was explained to us. There was also nothing that could be done to force a faster service. Before the official custom clearance has been done, nobody else is allowed to transport the goods anywhere else. So we weren't even allowed to pick up the goods and take them to Brussels ourselves. It has to be done through official channels and if there's a delay, then there's a delay. End of story.

Anyway, long story short, this week's comics and graphic novels ARE STILL COMING. It'll just take a couple of days longer than we're used to.

Au moins, ils ont déjà tout pointé cette semaine vu que le colis est arrivé en même temps. :D

Est-ce qu'Archonia a communiqué sur la façon dont ils allaient distribuer les FCBD cette année?

Pas encore.
Les dernières fois, ils ont fait cela au dernier moment.

OK, je m'en doutais aussi.
En gros il m'en faut 8 cette année, donc en attente de savoir comment ils vont faire...

There were technical issues with the truck during the transport to the airport and because of that the flight was missed. Today (Monday) is a national holiday in the USA so the shipment won't depart today either.

This means that the shipment will depart in the US on Tuesday and should arrive in Belgium by Thursday, however, this Thursday is a national holiday in Belgium as you all know, which means that cargo clearance customs are closed.

To cut to the chase, the shipment will most likely not arrive this week. There's a very small chance it will arrive on Friday, but most likely it will be next week Monday, possibly even Tuesday before it arrives.

Since this delays affects a lot of our customers who wait for the final comics of the month to arrive before finalizing their pre-orders, we figured it would wise to already report about this delay beforehand.

Our apologies for the delay, you can imagine we're not pleased about this either, but there's simply nothing to be done but wait...

Pourrais-je avoir des retour de ceux qui achètent la V.O. sur Archonia ?
Vous passez par quels types de transport ? C'est quoi le plus rentable, livraison à la semaine, bi-mensuel au mois etc... ?
Pouvez-vous passer par UPS ou DPD et le faire livrer à la poste de votre coin ?

UPS accès point à 4,99, il livre dans le supermarché à côté de chez moi, plus pratique que se faire livrer à domicile si il n'y a personne pour réceptionner. Le colis arrive en deux jours ouvrables.

Ensuite pour la fréquence, c'est toi qui voit. En fonction du volume de ta commande hebdo, et surtout à quel rythme tu veux recevoir tes nouveautés. Archonia te garde tout tant que tu ne valides pas à l'envoi, donc tu peux cumuler plusieurs semaines sans soucis.

Pareil.

UPS livre près de mon taf et effectivement la livraison se fait en 2 jours ouvrés.

Perso je ne commande plus que des TP chez eux (et parfois un single) donc je valide ma commande à la fin de chaque mois quand toutes mes sorties sont dispos. L'envoi est toujours hyper bien protégé, ils sont parfaits sur ce point (et les livres toujours en excellent état).

Sur leur site il pousse à utiliser soit UPS soit DPD, en insistant sur le fait qu'avec la poste, une fois que le colis a quitté la Belgique, il n'est plus traçable.

Avez-vous déjà eu des soucis avec eux ( Archonia et/ou UPS) ? Si oui, ils gèrent bien ou pas ?
