Here we go. I can confirm that the Absolute Universe line will launch from DC Comics in October 2024. And that the lead writers and artists will be Jason Aaron, Deniz Camp, Wes Craig, Nick Dragotta, Al Ewing, Che Grayson, Jeff Lemire, Jahnoy Lindsay, Pornsak Pichetshote, Nick Robles, Rafa Sandoval, Hayden Sherman, Scott Snyder and Kelly Thompson.

Previously we had reported that the line would include Absolute Batman by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, Absolute Superman by Jason Aaron and Absolute Wonder Woman by Kelly Thompson. Oh and that Al Ewing was involved.

But there are plenty of new names as well. Deniz Camp, currently writing The Ultimates at Marvel – he's the only person working on both Absolute and Ultimate titles.

Che Grayson is a filmmaker, TED Speaker and writer on Dark Spaces, Bitch Planet, Batman Urban Legends and other DC anthologies, often working with Scott Snyder

Jeff Lemire is the creator and co-creator of comics including Sweet Tooth, Essex County Trilogy, Sweet Tooth, Descender, The Nobody, Black Hammer, Plutona, and he created AD with Scott Snyder.

Jahnoy Lindsay is a comic book artist and is best known for Superboy: The Man Of Tomorrow, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, She-Hulk, Angel, Luke Cage, Scar, Grim and more.

Pornsak Pichetshote is a comic book editor, writer, and film director known for editing Sweet Tooth, WE3, The Losers, Testament, and The Unwritten, as well as writing The Infidel, The Good Asian and has just launched The Horizon Project at Image Comics.

Nick Robles is a comic book artist known for The Dreaming, Kong of Skull Island, The Oddly Pedestrian Life Of Christopher Chaos, Clockwork Angels, Euthanauts, Power Rangers and more.

Rafa Sandoval is a comic book artist known for The Flash, Green Lantern, Teen Itancs Academy, Catwoman, X-O Mankwar, Action Comics and X-Men Legacy.

Hayden Sherman is the co-creator on Wasted Space, Thumbs, Cold War and The Few, as well as artist on Batman Adventures, Detective Comics, Mary Shelley Monster Hunter, Batman Urban Legends, John Carter The End, Dark Spaces: Dungeon with Scott Snyder and m

oui j'ai lu la polémique.

Mais vous pensez vraiment que ce qui va être annoncé à la SDCC relativement à Jim LEE c'est qu'il va reprendre les commissions ?

Mais en fait, il est écrit nulle part que la "révélation" concerne directement Jim Lee.

Non, il sera présent en tant que Président donc pour des comics.
A voir si c'est lui annonce en grandes pompes la ligne Absolute.

Donc Absolute Power serait un Flashpoint en puissance? En lançant un univers rebooté sans toucher à l'ancien...

Je me disais bien que le fait que la nouvelle ligne Absolute reprenne comme par hasard le même mot que le crossover actuel n'était peut-être pas un hasard... cela dit, je ne sais pas si c'est une bonne nouvelle; j'aurai préféré, je pense, un univers entièrement nouveau qui ne soit relié d'aucune façon à l'actuel. Cela dit, on savait déjà qu'une rencontre était envisagée à l'avenir, donc c'est plus logique s'il s'agit d'une émanation de l'univers classique; par ailleurs, on a déjà eu des versions "Ultimate" de DC (Earth-One notamment), donc là, l'approche est différente, finalement plus proche de la ligne Ultimate récente.

Vu le synopsis d'Absolute Power #4, Amanda Waller va essayer de sauver ses miches avec le Multiverse dont elle avait bloqué l'accès et sûrement ouvrir un portail sur/vers la terre Absolute.

Snyder called it the “biggest initiative” DC has done in decades. They made it clear this isn’t an event, but an “initiative.” The idea is this initiative opens up the story so creators can come in and tell their best stories. “The greatest jumping on point,” Snyder called it.

Snyder made it clear there is no reboot or retcon to the current universe.

All-In Special will be a flip book with one side featuring art by Daniel Sampere and the other by Wes Craig. Sampere will focus on Superman’s side, while the other side is from the point of view of Darkseid.

The special “Reintroduces Darkseid as who he should be. The greatest villain of the DCU,” Snyder said. “Darkseid starts to realize something has always been missing. He senses something has changed, and once he realizes this, it sets him on a quest.” Darkseid will then collide with a new Justice League.

“One thing it creates is a dangerous wild new planet where we’ve invited in the biggest names in comics and some rising stars to reinvent the characters,” Snyder added. “All in one place.” The story will create a “driving force” for the company for “years to come.”

Williamson added this is one big story and it’s part of the “Absolute” world.

“If the main universe is set up by Superman energy, this universe is founded on Darkseid energy,” Snyder added. That makes the heroes underdogs, Snyder explained. “They have to be tougher. Have to be more resourceful,” and that makes them more badass.

Williamson and Dan Mora will be working on Superman and introducing a new Superwoman, with the return of Doomsday.

Snyder added, “All In is a rallying cry.” Not only are the creators at DC Comics all-in, but the creators, retailers, and fans.

Faut voir même si absolute.. j aurais préféré une ligne à la all star qu une continuité parallèle surtout qu elle se rejoindra donc..

Ni l'un ni l'autre perso.

Je ne veux du Elseworld et pas de What if c'est à dire qu'il me faut un vrai pitch fort (ce que j'ai retrouvé ni dans les All-Star ni dans les Earth One).

Les comics doivent être en continuité ou alors prendre un biais puissant. Là une fois de plus ca me donne l'impression que le hors continuité est seulement de la paresse intellectuelle.

Yeap, l'idée c'est surtout: si on prend le même perso et qu'on lui retire tout ce qui fait de lui ce qu'il est, à part son côté super-héroïque justement, et c'est pas inintéressant :)

Pour les nouvelles équipes de l'univers classique, je suis surtout curieux de voir ce que proposera Taylor sur Detective Comics et Kennedy Johnson sur Batman & Robin :huhu:

Action Comics #1070-1073 (October 9, 16, 23, 30)

Action comics hebdomadaire ! Mon portefeuille ne pourra pas suivre. Je vais surement me replier sur le Absolute Superman de Aaron et Sandoval.

Beaucoup de séries conservent leur équipe artistique (ou voient arriver des équipes de seconde zone.) Je pense qu'Urban va poursuivre leurs séries "Dawn of" sans renuméroter, et lancer les nouvelles séries Absolute en parallèle.

J'aimerai tellement montrer les images des 2 titres annoncés hier soir à savoir Justice League Unlimited (:bave:) par Mark Waid et Dan Mora et Absolute Flash par Jeff Lemire et Nick Robles mais DC n'a toujours pas lâché les images officielles.
Tous les sites relaient les mêmes screenshots mais je préfère attendre. :p :D
