Titan Comics has teased the return of Solomon Kane with Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring from creator Patrick Zircher and featuring a cover by Mike Mignola.

Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring #1 is on sale March 2025.

EsseJi 01/12/2024 12h12

The initial comic series will be like the past KGB Noir series with The Phantom and another character.

There will be three stories released in 15 installments guarantying at least 15 comics and 150 pages.

The titles of the stories are: « Phantom: Last Night », « Mandrake the Magician: Seven Kings Calling » and « Phantom and Mandrake: The Seven Kings ».

The stories will be re released in a hardcover TPB.

Sergio Ibáñez will be drawing the first series, news to come for the Mandrake and cross over series.

King Features have already approved several parts of the first Phantom and Mandrake series.

The first Phantom and Mandrake stories take place at the same time.

If you are outside of USA and Canada, you can pre order the series through Diamond Comic Distributors through your local comic bookstore.

There will be variant covers.

We touch upon the cover competition.

There will be some returning, new and surprising characters.

The story is based in USA and in current day.

Possibility of re releasing past Moonstone comics in hardcover format.

We will see new and old characters including Old Man Mozz’ grandson.

What past Moonstone comic book series to re read (hint: Our 2024 New Years resolution).

Which past Moonstone creators that may return and do more Phantom work.

Will other Moonstone licensed characters crossover with the Phantom?

What is next after the « 7 Kings » storyline?

Will the Phantom be coming to Australia?

Cependant, en mai 2024, une maxi-série Defenders of the Earth est annoncée chez l'éditeur Mad Cave, par Dan Didio et Jim Calafiore.

https://forum.sanctuary.fr/uploads/d...7903abd50.jpeg

The Phantom #0.

https://forum.sanctuary.fr/uploads/d...5c263b0d6.jpeg

- l'histoire s'appelle Phantom: Last Night
- le crossover avec Mandrake aura lieu ici

At the Angoulême International Comics Festival Joe Quesada has revealed the ambitious plans for his new Amazing Comics venture. The new publishing outfit was first announced at SDCC 2025.

“Amazing Comics has been living in my creative journal since 2005 — I always knew it was in my future,” said Quesada. “Having the opportunity to help rebuild Marvel and later become part of the Disney family was one of the greatest highlights of my career. It allowed me to play in almost every creative sandbox imaginable and collaborate with some of the most brilliant talents on the planet. Now, I get to take everything I’ve learned over two-plus decades at Marvel and pour it into Amazing Comics, bringing many of those incredible creators along with me. Our mission is simple: to tell great stories with stunning art and to build a true community between Amazing and our readers.”

The slate features comic books written by some of the biggest names in the entertainment and comic book industries, including:

Derek Kolstad, the writer and creator of John Wick and Nobody;

J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of Babylon 5, co-writer of the TV series Sence8, screenwriter of Clint Eastwood’s Changeling and the MCU Thor film;

Steven Paul Judd, the writer on Dark Winds and Echo television shows;

Christopher Priest, legendary writer of Black Panther and Deadpool for Marvel Comics;

Garth Ennis, writer and co-creator of The Boys and Preacher comic books;

Ethan Sacks, writer of Star Wars for Marvel Comics and co-writer of the acclaimed Image Comics series A Haunted Girl;

Charles Dorfman, writer and director of Barbarians, was an Associate Producer on the Academy Award-winning The King’s Speech and producer of the Oscar-nominated The Lost Daughter.

Upcoming Amazing Comics will be illustrated by all-star artists, including Quesada himself, as well as:

Esad Ribic, artist on Marvel’s Secret Wars, Silver Surfer: Requiem, X-Men and Thor for Marvel Comics;

Ryan Stegman, artist on Venom, The King in Black, X-Men, Vanish, and Missionary

Ronan Toulhoat, artist of the immensely popular European albums Daemon and Dog Head

Amazing Comics’ inaugural title, DISCIPLE, was announced last year at Comic-Con International in San Diego by Amazing Comics, Dupuis, and Mad Cave Studios. Quesada and Dorfman will co-write the much-anticipated reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Dorfman will be making his comics debut with the series illustrated by Quesada and inker Wade von Grawbadger, with colorist Richard Isanove and letterer Joe Caramagna.

Nouveau titre EC Comics chez Oni Press en juin : Blood Type par Corinna Bechko et Andrea Sorrentino!

https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2...-A_MERCADO.jpg

https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2...SORRENTINO.jpg

Citation:

PORTLAND, OR (February 19, 2025) OUT OF THE PAGES OF EPITAPHS FROM THE ABYSS . . . A MONSTROUS NEW EC COMICS MILESTONE BEGINS THIS JUNE! In advance of this year’s annual ComicsPRO Comic Book Industry Meeting in Glendale, CA, Oni Press – the multiple Eisner and Harvey award-winning publisher of groundbreaking comic books and graphic novels since 1997 – and William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. are proud to announce that the next chapter in the blockbuster resurrection of the immortal EC Comics will be written this June in BLOOD TYPE #1 – the FIRST ISSUE of A TERRIFYING NEW KIND OF HORROR SERIES from Hugo Award-nominated writer Corinna Bechko (Cruel Universe, Green Lantern: Earth One) and Eisner Award-winning artist Andrea Sorrentino (Gideon Falls, Old Man Logan)! Rising from the pages of her first appearance in last fall’s EPITAPHS FROM THE ABYSS #3, EC’s own blood-splattered, bon vivant vampire will be making history as the first character to claw her way out of an iconic EC Comics short story . . . and into the first-ever standalone, serialized horror series from the most notorious name in terror!

“Since day one, it’s always been our intention to push the boundaries of the revitalized EC Comics line at Oni Press into new and unexpected territory. First came our fleet of new anthology series – beginning with EPITAPHS FROM THE ABYSS and CRUEL UNIVERSE – which shattered our own already-high expectations to become Oni’s best-selling new series in more than a decade,” said Oni Press President & Publisher Hunter Gorinson. “Now, with BLOOD TYPE #1, we’re gearing up for something even more radical: the first-ever continuation of EC Comics anthology short, picking up the thread of how one lone vampire lost at sea will soon wash ashore on a tropical isle, where she is not the only creature with a taste for flesh and blood. Trenaciously twisted and hilariously brutal in the true EC manner, Corinna’s cleverly killer instincts are a perfect accent for the macabre art of Andrea Sorrentino – one of the best horror artists anywhere today. You’d have to be dead already to justify missing this book!”

WHEN YOU’RE A VAMPIRE, EVERYBODY SUCKS . . . SOONER OR LATER! Meet Ada, an immortal vampire whose misdeeds have landed her on the doorstep of an idyllic Caribbean resort. . . . An island paradise teeming with wealthy tourists and superstitious locals—an ample food supply for the thirsty vamp looking to get away from it all! But as Ada stalks the boundaries of her new hunting ground, she’ll soon become embroiled in a deadly game of cat and mouse by moonlight . . . as an older, wiser, and entirely different kind of predator reveals its own carnal hunger for greed and power. Who will survive when a brand-new kind of BLOOD TYPE declares war on a cunning bloodsucker with nothing left to lose . . . and what will be left of them?!

Picking up in the immediate aftermath of Ada’s first appearance in the titular short story “Blood Type” from EPITAPHS FROM THE ABYSS #3, BLOOD TYPE is intended to be the first in a new slate of semi-regular EC Comics limited series that will spotlight and continue a select few of the razor-sharp short stories introduced in the pages of EC’s monthly anthology titles – be they horror, science fiction, fantasy, or more. Before BLOOD TYPE #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere this June, readers can rediscover the killer short that first launched Ada into infamy inside the pages of EC PRESENTS BLOOD TYPE #0 – Oni’s 2025 Free Comic Book Day release by Bechko and artist Jonathan Case (Green River Killer), alongside other fan-favorite shorts from EC”s first year at Oni Press by creators Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead), Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine), Kano (Gotham Central), and Matt Kindt (BRZRKR, Mind MGMT) with an all-new cover by Eisner Award nominee Tyler Crook (Out of Alcatraz, Harrow County).

“Horror has just always been where I’ve felt most at home, something Andrea and I have in common,” said writer Corinna Bechko “With BLOOD TYPE we’ve cooked up a wicked tale that expands on a character I fell in love with as soon as I put her on the page. Does she love me back? Not a chance, and that’s her charm. She’s a vampire, but that doesn’t mean she sparkles or is ready for romance. She is, however, ready to take over a tropical paradise.”

“I think horror is just my thing,” said artist Andrea Sorrentino. “I’ve worked on many different things like superheroes and sci-fi in my career, but when it’s up to horror, this is where I feel at home …The opportunity to connect with the deepest fears of the reader through some imagery is a great and satisfying challenge. This is why when I’ve been asked if I was up to collaborate with EC Comics (one of the greatest of the comic horror producers) for two short stories first and then the launch of this exciting new limited series, it has been an honor for me. I can’t wait to join Corinna Bechko and my long time collaborator Dave Stewart on colors for this new, amazing project. It’s going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait for readers to put their eyes on what we are doing here!”

As a revolutionary new entry in the EC Comics canon, BLOOD TYPE #1 will lead off a new wave of gloriously bloody new wave EC series at Oni Press across Summer 2025. Stay tuned for more news on EC’s upcoming SUMMER OF FEAR in the weeks ahead as BLOOD TYPE prepares to bite deep!

“I can’t wait for folks to read BLOOD TYPE,” said Bechko. “EC Comics are more relevant now than ever and I hope we’ve honored that tradition while doing something brand new with this longer tale. Won’t you join us for the scariest vacation of your life?”

Featuring covers by Miguel Mercado (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Andrea Sorrentino (Bone Orchard), Albert Monteys (Universe!), and Naomi Franq (Black Hammer: Barbalien), BLOOD TYPE #1 seeps into comic shops everywhere on June 18th.

Acclaimed filmmaker, director, writer, podcaster, and comic book fan Kevin Smith brings his talents to the world of Archie Comics in July with an oversized one-shot comic crossover, and a few of his friends are coming along for the ride: Jay and Silent Bob!

“I believe it was Stoic philosopher Epictetus who first said, ‘Everything’s Archie.’ And he was right,” Smith said. “Whether it be Veronica in Clerks or the Mister Weatherbee conversation in Chasing Amy, the influence of Archie Andrews is mixed into the brick and mortar of my pop cultural foundation. So, there was no way I was passing up this incredible opportunity to collide the worlds of Riverdale and the Askewniverse, and introduce icons on the order of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Moose, Reggie, and Josie to reprobates like Jay and Silent Bob.”

ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB #1 — written by Smith with art by Archie mainstays Fernando Ruiz, Rich Koslowski, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli — barrels into comic shops on July 9 — just in time for the year’s biggest pop culture event, San Diego Comic Con. The crossover the world has been waiting for kicks off when Archie gets a summer job working at Quick Stop alongside none other than Randal Graves, who debuted in Smith’s seminal 1994 film Clerks. But when Jay and Silent Bob hit the scene, Archie’s life — and all of Riverdale — only get wilder from there. Written in the hilarious, sharp style that defined his films, ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB #1 is a must-read for fans of Smith’s work and diehard Archie readers looking for a more mature and biting interpretation of the classic characters.

“ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB is a crossover like we’ve never done before! Kevin has brilliantly brought two legendary, generation-defining worlds together to tell a story that’s so funny, totally wild, and also heartfelt and moving,” said Archie Comics’ Jesse Goldwater, who was instrumental in making the project happen. “Kevin Smith — a true genius — tells a story that feels both quintessentially View Askewniverse and classically Archie, honoring the incredible legacies of these beloved iconic characters. I cannot wait for readers to check out what I believe is going to be the greatest crossover in the history of entertainment!”

Following in the footsteps of now-legendary Archie crossovers like ARCHIE MEETS PREDATOR, ARCHIE MEETS RAMONES, and more, ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB #1 presents readers with an unlikely, historic, and completely bonkers pairing — in partnership with Smith himself. The end result, courtesy of Smith’s sly wit, takes Archie, Jay, Silent Bob, and the rest of the gang through a raucous 48 pages of hijinks as they crash a Pussycats concert, meet a potential new love interest, and blaze through a musical number that will be burned into your brain forever.

“I couldn’t be happier that the first crossover Secret Stash Press has ever done is with Jesse and the good folks at Archie Comics,” Smith added. “Everything’s Archie, and Archie is everything.”

ARCHIE MEETS JAY AND SILENT BOB #1arrives wherever comics are sold on July 9.It will be available for pre-order on April 25.
