Jae Lee de retour chez Image pour un creator owned, une première depuis 1999!
Lancement en juin de Seven Sons, une mini en 7 avec Robert Windom et Kelvin Mao au scénario.

https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2.../Image/SS1.jpg

Citation:

Co-writers Robert Windom (Stars Fell On Alabama) and Kelvin Mao (10 Minutes Gone) team up with superstar artist Jae Lee for his first new creator-owned project since 1994 in the upcoming thriller Seven Sons. This seven issue miniseries is set to launch from Image Comics in June.

"Seven Sons is a complex and interesting story that grabs you from page one," said Lee. "I'm excited for people to join us on this thrill ride!"

In Seven Sons, Delph—a young man who may be the Second Coming of Christ—runs for his life as he attempts to learn the truth behind his existence.

"Kelvin and I were interested in exploring the impact of religion in society—but with murder, mystery, romance, and even a missile attack or two—and Jae Lee is the perfect artist to realize our vision of this alternative history," said Windom.

Seven Sons is the perfect series for fans of fast-paced plotting like The Fugitive paired with The Da Vinci Code’s Biblically high stakes.

Seven Sons #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 15:
Cover A by Lee - Diamond Code APR220077

Image Comics and Skybound today announced the return of the hit anthology series Skybound X, following its wildly successful five-issue limited run last summer. In celebration of Image Comics’ 30th anniversary, Skybound X returns with issue #25, embracing the “Images of Tomorrow” legacy by showcasing four all-new series.

The extra-length issue is jam-packed with upcoming comic launches, featuring the monumental return of a widely beloved character and the introduction of unforgettable new ones from some of the most-acclaimed comics talent today.

From the pages of Invincible comes breakout star Battle Beast, reuniting the legendary Invincible team of Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley. The acclaimed team behind Birthright, Josh Williamson and Andrei Bressan, also reunite to kick off the new horror epic Dark Ride. Then, discover the first appearance of the savage and beautiful Kroma, from writer/artist Lorenzo De Felici (Oblivion Song). And finally, Mac Smith masterfully tells the story of how animals battle for survival when all of humanity dies in the post-apocalyptic world of Scurry.

“Battle Beast is one of those characters I’m always trying to find a way to write again. Ryan Ottley is an artist I’m always trying to find a way to work with again,” said Kirkman. “Invincible fans should start getting REAL excited for what we’re cooking up together! This 25th issue of Skybound X is going to be the best one yet!”

Skybound X #25 will be available at  comic book shops  and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

Today Skybound announced Creepshow, a new star-studded five-issue comic book anthology based on the hit Shudder TV series and advancing the worldwide phenomenon that began with George A. Romero and Stephen King’s iconic 1982 film and has continued with the Greg Nicotero-helmed genre anthology series entering its fourth season on Shudder and produced by Cartel Entertainment. The new comic book will launch September 21, 2022 and was brokered by Striker Entertainment, a global licensing IP accelerator.
What’s that lurking in the dark? Who’s that walking up behind you? And why does it sound like death is slowly creeping this way? Why, it’s Creepshow!
Each issue of the five-part anthology will feature different creative teams from the worlds of comics, film, television, and beyond. Every uniquely horrifying standalone story is guaranteed to SCARE YOU TO DEATH.
“Creepshow has consistently been one of the best things in horror for the last 40 years, and for Skybound to be able to carry on such a rich horror tradition is an absolute thrill,” said Jon Moisan, Editor at Skybound. “We knew a franchise this prolific would require the best talent in the industry, so we assembled a collection of creators that will do the Creepshow name proud. The stories they have planned are going to scare the absolute hell out of people.”’
The superstar creative roster behind Creepshow includes Chris Burnham (Die!Die!Die!), Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series), Steve Langford (Creepshow TV series), Josh Malerman (Creepshow TV series, Bird Box), David & Maria Lapham (Stray Bullets), Steve Foxe (Razorblades: The Horror Magazine), John McCrea (Hitman), and Kelley Jones (Batman, The Sandman), with many more to be announced. Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nictorero’s Monster Agency Productions.
“Growing up a fan of horror comics and Famous Monsters, I will never forget the thrill of seeing a new issue hit the stands…thumbing through the pages with the anticipation of diving into a dark twisted and outrageous world filled with ghouls, zombies and the classic come-uppence, said Greg Nicotero, director, writer, and executive producer of the Creepshow TV Series. “I’m very proud to see Creepshow find its rightful place on comic book shelves everywhere!”
“Skybound is simply the best in class when it comes to marrying beloved content with established and burgeoning talent,” states Russell Binder, President of Striker Entertainment. “Stan Spry, Greg, and all of the producers including myself are ecstatic to have Skybound come on board to provide another engaging experience to fans of the Creepshow series.”
Creepshow #1 (of 5), with a main cover by Chris Burnham, will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Alors, qui est-ce que Mark Millar a piqué à DC et Marvel cette fois-ci (pour une mini-série à chaque fois, hein, ils ont le droit de faire un break si non-exclusifs)?

https://bleedingcool.com/comics/mark...world-nemesis/

Citation:

Mark Millar just claimed in his most recent newsletter that he has "just nicked Marvel's best artist". By which he means he has stolen them, rather than cut them with a scalpel. But also that "in the interest of fairness we've stolen's DC's top guy too!!" The phrasing means that they are presumably both male. Now, the current belief is that Marvel's top artist is Pepe Larraz, defined as the Jim Lee of today, while DC Comics' best artist is Jorge Jimenez who is defined as the Marc Silvestri of his day. Or vice versa. But there are plenty of others you might want to mention, including Christian Ward, Peach Momoko, Howard Porter, Marco Checchetto, Emanuela Lupacchino, Esad Ribic, Max Sarin, Lucas Werneck, Bryan Hitch… – okay it's not going to be Bryan Hitch, but there are so many to choose from. And whoever it is, Mark will declare them as the best artists of DC and Marvel. He continues;

"In a Reservoir Dogs style smash and grab, Millarworld has snatched the two greatest artists in comics right now, but we're actually going to save the announcement until next month when we can show you exactly what they're drawing. One of them might involve Nemesis, by the way, and you're going to love it. More on this in July."

mrcitrouille 11/06/2022 20h17

Citation:

But gossip at San Diego Comic-Con's late-night sessions in the Westgate, Mariott, Hyatt, Omni and Bayfront reveals that comic creators who know more of what is going on state that, rather than stealing the creators, Marvel and DC Comics have agreed to temporary carve-outs in exclusive deals for specific work-for-hore projects like Nemesis Returns, in a similar fashion that Dan Slott recently got after years of trying from Marvel for Doctor Who. And it's a sign of a slight ease of control of late at both Marvel and DC, to keep favoured creators happy. And to expect to see signs of this approach all over. Still, when has that ever stopped Mark Millar from claiming daylight robbery?
