In 2020, legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont revisited his groundbreaking “Days of Future Past” storyline in a special prelude story that was only available in the Marvel Made Paragon Collection: Chris Claremont, a limited edition prestige hardcover. This July, this rare story will finally be published alongside the all-time classic that inspired it in X-MEN BY CHRIS CLAREMONT: PRELUDE TO A FUTURE PAST #1!
Revisit the nightmarish world of tomorrow that is Days of Future Past in a revelatory prelude by the legendary scribe and illustrated by his X-TREME X-MEN collaborator, Salvador Larroca! Discover at last how the surviving X-Men saved one of their own, Rachel Summers, from her torment as a Hound – and find out which surprising faces had a vital part to play in the mutant resistance! Presented alongside the original saga in which Claremont and John Byrne unveiled their darkly dystopian vision of the future Marvel Universe – where Sentinels stalk the Earth, and the X-Men are humanity’s only hope…until they die! The giant-sized one-shot will also include bonus materials celebrating Chris Claremont’s fifty-plus years in comics!

Next month, IMMORTAL THOR #23 by writer Al Ewing and artist Jan Bazaldua marks the beginning of Thor Odinson's last stand. A saga that’s been building since Ewing started his acclaimed run, the new arc finds Thor alone against the fury of the malevolent Gods of Utgard. The omens can no longer be denied. The prophecy can no longer be delayed. The hour has come for the God of Thunder’s demise!
The story concludes in IMMORTAL THOR #25, on sale in July, which features art by Justin Greenwood in his Marvel Comics debut. Stay tuned in the months ahead to learn about the next chapter of Ewing’s run, for as one legend ends, a new one begins!
THE STORY ENDS...
At the end of his tale, Thor strode into Vidblainn, third land of the dead, whence nothing could return. And there, beyond all battles, beyond all cares, he stood and fought for justice one last time – against the great Serpent who wore his own face and held his own hammer. This was the story of the IMMORTAL THOR...and the deciding of his fate.

https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2025-04/Marvel/GODZILLADESTROYSMU2025001_Cover.jpg
Thanks to an exciting partnership between Marvel Comics and Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary that has brought global sensation Godzilla to life, Godzilla made its roaring return to the Marvel Universe earlier this year! Following a series of history-spanning one-shots where Godzilla battled various Marvel heroes, the epic showdown fans have been waiting for arrives this July in GODZILLA DESTROYS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE.
Announced earlier today at The Wrap, GODZILLA DESTROYS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE will be a five-issue event series written by superstar writer Gerry Duggan and acclaimed artist Javier Garrón. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, it’s all hands on deck as Godzilla is pitted against the combined might of the entire Marvel Universe! Starring a cast of iconic Marvel heroes—and villains—and packed with shocking moments like a faceoff between the ageless Kaiju and an ancient Celestial, a horrifying symbiote bonding to the King of the Monsters, and a ground-shaking battle between the Hulk and Godzilla, it’s an explosive saga that will go down in pop culture history!
“Godzilla has always been a relentless force of nature, and battling the icons of the Marvel Universe is the perfect way to celebrate 70 years of the King of Monsters,” said Kristin Parcell, General Manager of Toho International. “Our continued collaboration with Marvel, bringing Godzilla into the vast Marvel Universe, guarantees an unmatched, electrifying experience for fans of both legendary franchises.”
LOOK OUT NEW YORK!
A previously dormant Godzilla has been angrily awoken and begun carving a path of annihilation as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes band together to try and stop its cataclysmic rampage! But when their combined efforts fail to slow the Bringer of Destruction, Earth’s heroes are forced to go to extraordinary lengths to try and bring Godzilla down – including joining forces with Earths most devious villains! But will this be enough to stop Godzilla as it tears straight through the Marvel Universe into the Dark Dimension and other realms? Plus, how is the King of the Monsters connected to the mysterious metal, Vibranium, and what does this mean for Wakanda? In the face of an unstoppable force of nature, the Marvel Universe must come together like never before in this earth-shattering fight for Earth’s survival.
“Godzilla was as important to me as Marvel Comics growing up,” Duggan shared. “My father enjoyed watching baseball on TV, and I would root for rain outs so the NYC stations would run a Godzilla movie. When I discovered that Godzilla had appeared in the Marvel Universe, I obsessively collected every issue. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be contributing to the tradition of Godzilla rampaging in the Marvel Universe. This is the very biggest event of the summer, and everyone is getting in on the action. Javier Garrón is doing the very best work of his career, and this will be an immortal comic book. Get ready to run for your life this July!”
“It is—excuse the pun—a monstrous opportunity to team up again with Gerry, not only one of the best writers in comics but the only person who could do justice to this story with his bold, wild, extremely funny and epic scripting,” Garrón said. “Letting none other than the King of the Monsters loose in the Marvel Universe means a lot to me and it’s all a creator could ask for in a comic. The sheer scale! The cast—everybody! The destruction—everything! It’s a no-holds-barred conflict, and I’m having the time of my life wreaking havoc with Gerry and the rest of the team.”
“In our previous one shots, fans have seen some wild and unexpected moments but I promise you that Gerry will have everyone stunned, shocked and craving more with this series!” Editor Mark Paniccia added. “It’s jam-packed with explosive beats that will surprise and thrill both Godzilla and Marvel fans!”

Ewing (EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN), Luciano Vecchio (STORM), Javier Garrón (UNCANNY X-MEN), Sara Pichelli (SCARLET WITCH), and more!

As they look back on the past, they’ll reignite hope for the future, and readers can look forward to a night of joyous celebration, delicious drama, and, of course, super hero high fashion! Like previous Hellfire Galas, the glamorous party will be filled with reunions, returns, and revelations, all setting the stage for the next year of X-Men storytelling!

Featuring the meetings and moments that fans have been asking for since FROM THE ASHES began, be there for a keystone moment marking the movement of one era into the next and setting up story threads that will play out across the X-line in the near future!

The cosmic landscape of the Marvel Universe is about to drastically transform! This June, visionary writer Jonathan Hickman and superstar artists Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini present IMPERIAL (2025), a four-issue event series that shatters and restructures the galactic empires of the Marvel Universe!
Revolutionizing space-set storytelling forever, the saga kicks off with the startling assassination of various intergalactic leaders, creating a power vacuum in the stars and igniting war! Today, fans can peek at what lies ahead with the reveal of the series’ second issue, on sale this July.
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN (2024) superstar Marco Checchetto delivers another dynamic cover for the highly anticipated series that depicts some of the event’s major players including Deathbird, Nova, Gladiator, and Shuri.
Meanwhile, She-Hulk, a character who will embark on a surprising journey in the series, grabs the spotlight in a variant cover by acclaimed artist Gerald Parel. And W. Scott Forbes delivers a stunning portrait of Lilandra, Professor X's greatest love. The former Shi’ar Majestrix was recently resurrected in the "X-Manhunt" crossover where she departed Earth with Professor X to rescue their daughter, Empress Xandra.
Part two of a four-part Marvel cosmic event!
Against the fallout of someone mysteriously killing the rulers of the Marvel galactic empires, the fires of war are lit! As that conflict simmers, Nova and Star-Lord race to discover who is behind all these evil acts—a journey that takes them to the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda!

"I'm very excited about this project as I’m obviously a huge fan of all things Marvel Cosmic," Hickman said when the series was announced. "The goal here is to kind of do what we did with the recent Ultimate line for all of our space titles, except having the setup book (IMPERIAL) be more of an event than a world building exercise (like ULTIMATE INVASION). The art team is killing it and we’re all just very excited for what’s happening in this special corner of the Marvel Universe."
With groundbreaking developments for HULKS, BLACK PANTHERS, NOVAS, GUARDIANS and COSMIC KINGS and QUEENS, IMPERIAL lays the foundation for an entire new landscape of interconnected space-set stories, making it the must-read comic book of the summer!

Announced earlier today at IGN, writer Benjamin Percy concludes his explosive saga crossing the Predator Universe with the Marvel Universe in PREDATOR KILLS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, a five-issue series launching in August. The series will be drawn by returning artist Marcelo Ferreira, currently working alongside Percy on the third installment of the PREDATOR VS. trilogy, PREDATOR VS. SPIDER-MAN, which hit stands this week.
It began as a feud between hunters in PREDATOR VS. WOLVERINE. It escalated to a battle between dynasties in PREDATOR VS. BLACK PANTHER. It led to a vicious attack on an entire city in PREDATOR VS. SPIDER-MAN. Now, this interconnected epic evolves into a global war in PREDATOR KILLS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE. The grand finale of this smash hit pop culture collision sees the heroes of the Marvel Universe join forces to defend the world from an entire army of the galaxy’s greatest hunters.
Fans can expect shocking deaths as the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and more are caught off guard by the Predator's orchestrated savagery, all while Percy and Ferreira dare to explore their terrifying plans for Earth.
It's the bloody kickoff to an epic battle between the Predators and Marvel's heroes! A Predator King, emboldened by a new vibranium arsenal and aided by a surprising human ally, launches an all-out invasion of Earth, claiming the planet as a hunting preserve! You’ll need to read to see just who–if anyone--will survive and to witness some shocking twists and turns as the entire Marvel Universe finds itself in the Predator's tri-laser crosshairs!
