Just now at New York Comic Con’s Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing Panel, the biggest comics panel of the weekend, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, VP & Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, and FANTASTIC FOUR writer Ryan North revealed more information on what the future holds for the Marvel Universe next year in ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM.
First teased last year at San Diego Comic-Con, ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM is an overarching status quo shift coming to the Marvel Comics, the likes of which haven’t been seen since 2008’s DARK REIGN. Spinning out of BLOOD HUNT where Doctor Doom manipulated Doctor Strange into passing him the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme, ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM sees Doom accomplish his ultimate goal at last as he uses his new power to take over the entire world.
It’s a shocking and upending turn of events that will impact Marvel’s entire line of comics and see the launch of tie-in series and one-shots, collectively forming an era worthy of comic books’ greatest supervillain!
ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM will be anchored by a core title launching in February—RISE OF EMPEROR DOOM. The five-issue series will written by Ryan North, whose acclaimed current run of FANTASTIC FOUR will be heavily impacted by ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, and drawn by one of the industry’s hottest artists, R.B. Silva, known for his defining work on the X-Men in titles like POWERS OF X and RISE OF THE POWERS OF X.
While Doom’s reign will be felt across the Marvel Universe, RISE OF EMPEROR DOOM will take readers behind the mask as they bear witness to the triumphs and trials of Doom’s rule, as well as the foolish attempts to topple it…
ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM!
Six months ago, Doctor Victor Von Doom became Sorcerer Supreme - then disappeared behind Latveria's closed borders. For most, there’s enough going on in the world that Doom's absence is not a priority, and some time without him feels like a blessing. Only a few recognize it for what it truly was... the calm before the storm. It is a storm that has now arrived.
The world has woken up to a new reality: Doctor Doom, Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, has magically taken over every broadcast medium on the planet and declared himself Emperor of the World - the ruler of a new United Latveria! And shockingly, impossibly, all of Earth's leaders seem to be going along with this.
Luckily, whether it's mind control or Doombots, whatever's affecting them hasn't affected Earth's heroes - and so they quickly form a strike team to stop Doom's machinations. But will they succeed? And what happens when some begin to welcome their new Emperor with open arms, clamoring for One World Under Doom?

Bien sûr, Steve est là mais pas son équipe d'Avengers.
Toujours les mêmes personnages plus l'invité de l'event (la cervelle dans un bocal) qu'on ne reverra sans doute plus après.
Je vais recommencer à prier S(a)tan pour que Marvel perde les droits de toutes les créations de Lee et Kirby (et Wein par la même occasion).
On peut toujours relire le GN/Top BD du même nom.

Sinon quel est le sombre idiot chez Marvel qui pense que teaser un évent dessiner par Silva avec une image promo de Gregg Land est une bonne idée ? Genre les mecs ils veulent plus vendre de comics c est pas possible...
J'ai cru qu'une partie de l'image, sur la double page, avait été effacée pour cacher un spoiler ou je ne sais quoi et j'ai réalisé que c'est la chevelure de Ororo...

Au moins, ça sera bien dessiné.
Et un petit peu de modestie dans les couleurs ce serait bien aussi. Là ça pique les yeux quand même je trouve.

Ils peuvent pas perdre totalement les droits ou en tout cas tu ne peux pas te servir du Captain America ou du wolverine ni actuel ni même ceux des 80's..
Si Cap revient à simon c est le cap avec pas de cote demaille, un bouclier triangulaire et à part Bucky et Red Skull aucun personnage qu on connait....
Wolverine ce serait celui de Hulk sans l adamantium... sans l origine..
Superman va tomber dans le domaine public mais comme mickey c est la premierte version que peu de gens connaissent quoi
Même s ils perdaient les droits ce serait plus un uivers.. 90% des lecvteurs ne seraient plus là même si déjà ils sont pas nombreux.. et 90% des spectateurs non plus.. bref.. autant arréter soi même de lire plutot que de souhaiter que ca disapraisse pour tous..
Moi le Cap de 1940.. il m interessepas des masses.. et je présume qu il y a peu de fans du wolverine de hulk..

"This huge head start is such a gift when telling a story like this: I can make sure it all hangs together properly, and for other artists working on tie-ins with their books, I can share completed scripts instead of just an idea of what happens.
"Because of that I'm very excited for where this story has gone, and can go. It's been really exciting to hear what other teams have planned with their books to take advantage of this new status quo—we're all pulling in the same direction."
"Doom, to me, is the ultimate villain, because even when he loses he wins," North continued. "He's not some guy you can punch a bunch until he stops doing crimes: he's a man who has thought deeply about how to achieve precisely what he wants, and how to ensure others are manipulated into supporting him.
"ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM opens after Doom has taken over the world overnight, and there is a mystery in how he did it, how he got everyone to acquiesce to his rule - but there's also a bigger and more terrifying question: now that he's taken over the world, what is he going to do with it? And what will the Fantastic Four and the Avengers do to stop him?"
"Doom is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe, so getting to work on this arc is a real pleasure," Silva said. "I’m loving that we’re bringing magic into the mix, and all the possibilities to make him as awesome as he’s always been. I’m trying to give fans something a little different from what we’ve seen before, and I think the magic element can really make a difference. I hope fans enjoy it as much as I do."
"Also, this story has the tyrannosaurus rex version of Doctor Doom in it too, so you know there's this baseline level of rad we're trying to hit,” North added."

Pareil mais bon Marvel aime bien recycler à peu de frais pour créer des couvertures.
Ben bon sang, RB Silva est plus aussi intéressant que lors de sa mini série X ou encore son run sur le Captain "Wilson" America.
Et la mise en couleur me dérange fortement sur ce que je vois.

Complètement donc... :D
Beaucoup trop de couleurs flashy et un dessin de Silva qui ne m'interpelle plus du tout, mais vraiment plus, c'est fou.
Un style qui n'a plus rien à voir avec ce que j'avais vu sur la back up d'Action Comics sur Jimmy Olsen.
Il m'a perdu l'gaillard. ^^
