Starting this January, follow Straczynski to wherever his imagination takes him next as he pens a new line of standalone one-shots that costar two Marvel icons of his choosing—either in unexpected team-ups or action-packed showdowns!

In the spirit of recent best-selling comics like Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene’s DOOM and Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña’s AVENGERS: TWILIGHT, Straczynski’s new one-shots invite all fans—new and longtime readers alike—to enjoy timeless and rousing stories featuring some of today’s most beloved and talked about Marvel characters. Following that, Volstagg recruits the Sentinel of Liberty in Straczynski and Chang’s CAPTAIN AMERICA & VOLSTAGG. When a war breaks out in the Nine Realms, Volstagg of the Warriors Three turns to the only man skilled enough to end it: Steve Rogers, Captain America!

Oui ça va être ça. Mais au moins on est à l'abri d'un évent qui multiplirait l'investissement juste pour une histoire.

Au contraire, les duos improbables, c'est ce qui faisait le charme des premiers Marvel Team Up et Two In One, genre Ben Grimm & Daimon Hellstrom ou Spider-Man & Susan Richards.

Maintenant, quand ils font des Marvel Team Up, c'est des trucs vus 100 fois, genre Ms Marvel & Captain Marvel ou Spider-Man & Daredevil. Et Deadpool, Deadpool, Deadpool, Deadpool.

Une belle erreur de casting d'avoir foutu Straz là-dessus.

je sais pas.. il l avait correctement écrit plusieurs fois.. mais là son pitch d entité cosmique mélée avec du carnivale et des agents du changement.. jamais je ne trouve que ca tient.
Ce qu il ecrit en flashback.. ca n a rien d extra mais au moins c est pas mal..
donc le choix de jms.. je suis moins dur que toi.. mais valider son pitch.. ca par contre..
Ca va faire deux echecs pour Alanna Smith depuis que Brevoort a quitté le titre (je parle pas creativement mais là en terme e ventes car pour moi Kelly/Lazing c etait pas mal du tout mais marvel a décidé que ca vendait pas assez)..
Je pense qu elle va jouer la sécurité sur son prochain choix.. je verrais bien un titre moins superheros et plus espionnage façon Brub' puisque c est là que ca marchait.. en ventes ou alors un grand nom..


aprés oui c est vrai que ca colle miraculeusemeent décembre.. mais quand même si ca avait fonctionné je les aurais pas vu arreter le titre..

J ai écoute un podcast de firstprint aujourd'hui ils ont adorés le premier tpb de captain america

oui j ai vu car ils ont annoncé le départ de JMS en regrettant..
bon aprés ils adorent Hickman, ram V donc j ai pas du tout leur gout..
mais bon sur buzz ou sanctuary les retours sont pas bons.

et surtout je pense que beaucoup ont fait l impasse sur le run précédent (Kelly/Lazing) qui partait sur des bases analogues (vie privé en avant, point important de l origine de Cap revu) mais qui me semble mieux géré malgré des maladresses.
JMS j attend plus de lui que de Kelly et Lazing en matiere de maitrise.. mais en plus je trouve que c est moins bien.. et alors graphiquement j en parle pas.

et même sur les forums sur Captain.. ils sont bien plus gentils mais tu sens pas la même énergie qu avec le précédent run... plus l ambiance avec Coates (que je trouve quand même plus réussi et avec des themes interessants et surtout un eremuise en avant de certains persos interessantes malgré des longueurs pas possibles)

Je l'ai déjà dit, mais je me souviens d'une époque où on disait de McFarlane qu'il usait de facilité en declinant Spawn à outrance, il était accusé de ne pas avoir d'idées de nouveaux personnages. On pourrait lui confier le poste d'editor chez Marvel de nos jours.

Time means I can’t be involved in much, but as I mentioned before I’m going to try to do a special Marvel project at some point next year to play my own small part as I suspect Marvel will be next in line for a massive sales push into all the comic stores. CB and I met for lunch recently to talk about this very thing, but - a word of caution - this would be a one-off project as I only have 12 weeks carve out in terms of my plans for the next few years. But Marvel is where it will be if it happens (see pic).

J'ai vite arrêté ce run de Straczynski alors que j'ai beaucoup aimé celui de Kelly & Lanzing.
J'ai trouvé la proposition de JMS lourde et inintéressante.

Cebulski, writer Chris Condon, and more revealed the next ongoing series coming to Marvel’s hit new Ultimate Universe. Ah, le coup du personnages qui a hérité des armes/pouvoirs de plusieurs autres dans le futur.
Au moins, c'est pas Wolverine (avec Aaron, ça aurait été lui à tous les coups; ou Jane). Mais la façon dont ils ont chié sur Danny Rand au passage lors du premier one shot me laisse un mauvais goût dans la bouche. Y a des personnages, comme ça, que Marvel semble vouloir punir.

White, current VENOM scribe Al Ewing, and New York Times best-selling author Charles Soule revealed the future of Symbiote storytelling. Fans were given a first look at ALL-NEW VENOM and the announcement of the second symbiote ongoing series spinning out of VENOM WAR: EDDIE BROCK: CARNAGE!
