https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2024-09/Marvel/timeslide2024001_cover.jpg
For the last few years, Marvel Comics has ended the year with a bang in special one-shots that pack epic stories and provide glimpses at the next years’ worth of storytelling. This mighty Marvel tradition continues this December in TIMESLIDE #1!
Written by Steve Foxe (DARK X-MEN, SPIDER-WOMAN) and drawn by Ivan Fiorelli (FANTASTIC FOUR), TIMESLIDE will star the X-Men’s resident time-travelling soldiers, Bishop and Cable, as they blaze through the timestream to prevent a villain from eliminating mutantkind from history. During this high stakes mission, they’ll pay witness to things just on the horizon for your favorite Marvel heroes including upcoming events, new characters and more!
An X-Man from the future arrives in the present with a dire warning: One of mutantkind’s most hyper-advanced foes is eating his way through time, trying to stop the X-Gene from ever evolving in the first place. Only two X-Men can stop this chronal predator from achieving his goal – if they can tolerate working together long enough. Join Bishop and Cable on a trip through futures past, present and beyond.
“I was thrilled when Tom Brevoort reached out about TIMESLIDE,” Foxe said. “These annual mega-issues have become a perennial favorite of mine, both as a standalone story of their own and as a sneak peak of what’s to come for the year ahead. Getting to structure this one around Cable and Bishop—two of my favorite mutants, and two I didn’t write much during my prior X-tenure—was icing on the chrono-cake.
“Ivan Fiorelli can truly draw anything, and this story proves that era by era on a tour of some of the X-Men’s most notable moments as a new threat opens his maw and threatens all of mutant history. We build on Cable and Bishop’s tumultuous relationship from CHILDREN OF THE VAULT for a pulse-pounding ride that touches on some of my favorite parts of X-stories past—and teases some exciting upcoming mutant tales. And while the flash-forwards in this issue aren’t only X-related, it was exciting, as a diehard X-fan, to write the first TIMELESS that became TIMESLIDE!”

This January, mutant icon Magik headlines her first ongoing solo series! The X-Men’s resident sorcerer will unleash her Soulsword, spells, and dark side against mystical threats targeting the mutant community.
MAGIK will be written by rising star Ashley Allen, who wrote the character earlier this year in X-MEN: BLOOD HUNT – MAGIK, and drawn by acclaimed artist Germán Peralta, known for his recent work on BLACK PANTHER and last year’s LOKI series.
From Colossus’ kid sister to New Mutant, Illyana Rasputina has climbed the ranks over the years to become the fiercest X-Man of them all, and her long overdue solo adventures will see her tap into her mystical expertise and unique mutant magic like never before.
The mystic mutant goes demon hunting in her own series! The X-Man Illyanna Rasputina strikes out on her own with new allies and dark powers arrayed against her. Something ancient has awakened beneath the Alaskan ice. Unfortunately for it, that’s Magik’s territory now!
Throughout the series, Magik will also be forced to come to terms with her tragic history and learn to control her demonic Darkchylde persona. After years of suppression, Illyana’s Darkchylde form returns from the depths of her tormented soul to offer her more strength and power, but at what cost?
“I’m beyond excited to be returning to write Illyana!” Allen said. “Supernatural stories featuring characters with hearts of gold are my favorite, so this series has been a dream to write! I can’t wait for readers to experience the adventure we take Magik on to slay some demons … and maybe accept some of her own.”
“I am very excited about this project,” Peralta shared. “Magik is a character with an incredible background, surrounded by darkness and mystery. Additionally, she is visually spectacular in all her versions, and I personally love Chris Bachalo’s design. I really enjoy drawing action scenes, as well as emotionally-driven scenes, and Ashley Allen writes a super intriguing script, where she balances both of these types of situations, making my job even more fun than it already is. I mean, what artist wouldn’t love to draw Magik with her great sword facing all kinds of demons?”

Team Savage Rogue Assemble!

If you’re an X-Men ’97 fan who wasn’t just surprised by the revelation that Rogue and Magneto have history but also instantly wanted to know more, Marvel has just the comic for you. Rogue: The Savage Land, a retro limited series from a great team of modern creators, will dive back into the 1990s story arc that first took two very different X-Men characters and strung a wire of sexual tension between them.
In 1991’s Uncanny X-Men #274, Rogue found herself almost powerless and stranded in the Savage Land, Marvel Comics’ own Land of the Lost-style Antarctic oasis. How did she find herself there? Don’t worry about it. What did she find when she got there? An alliance with an amorous Magneto and the scantily clad Ka-Zar, Marvel’s own Tarzan analog (and oft-played Marvel Snap card), against the evil sorceress Zaladane. Rogue and Magneto’s romance was never truly to be, after he executed Zaladane — a level of villainy Rogue just did not vibe with anymore — but that hasn’t stopped later writers from calling back to the attraction they once briefly shared.
For Rogue: The Savage Land writer Tim Seeley (Nightwing, Shatterstar), a chance to go back to Rogue’s time in the Savage Land was “a dream job, and probably the absolute perfect Marvel gig for me,” he told Polygon via email. “In these 5 issues I get to utilize my love for 80s X-Men, Jim Lee, Chris Claremont, Zabu, scantily clad heroines (and heroes!) and probably most importantly: DINOSAURS.”
Seeley is joined by up-and-coming Italian artist Zulema Lavina, who makes her Marvel Comics debut after being named the winning artist of Disneyland Paris’ 2024 Marvel Art Atelier.
“After winning the Marvel Art Atelier, I was still realizing what an incredible opportunity this is,” Lavina wrote to Polygon, “and then I was asked to draw this Rogue limited series which I immediately fell in love with. It is great to collaborate again with Tim Seeley and I hope the readers will enjoy this amazing story as much as I am. The character of Rogue is full of empathy and determination, the iconic Savage Land setting is fantastic, the story is full of wild and unexpected stuff — I can’t wait for you to read it!”
“We’re going to deliver something fresh,” Seeley promised, “while honoring the impossibly sexy and epic classic tale of a young Rogue, and two of the weirdest allies a girl from Missouri could ask for: Magento and Ka-Zar.”
You can check out Marvel’s official summary for Rogue: The Savage Land #1 below, as well as the full main cover by Kaare Andrews and a character design variant cover from Russell Dauterman. The first issue of the five-issue series will hit shelves in January 2025.

C'était annoncé, c'est concrétisé : en décembre et en janvier voit débarquer le 1er crossover X de l'ère From The Ashes avec Raid on Graymalkin entre X-Men et Uncanny X-Men.
https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2024-09/Marvel/raidongraymalkin_overview.jpg
The X-Men’s new era is fully underway, and starting this December, fans will experience an epic crossover between two of its three flagship titles in "Raid on Graymalkin!"
Left broken and scattered in the wake of Krakoa, the X-Men have since regrouped into distinct teams of their own. In Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-MEN, Cyclops leads a squad of hardened mutant soldiers out of an abandoned Sentinel factory in Alaska. While in Gail Simone and David Marquez’s UNCANNY X-MEN, Rogue attempts to build a new home with her chosen X-family along with a handful of new students down in Louisiana. Their different approaches to the X-Men’s mission erupts into a tense standoff when a plan of action is needed to take down Graymalkin Prison, formerly Xavier’s Institute.
The X-Men’s school has been transformed into a brutal penitentiary for mutants by the callous Dr. Corina Ellis, and her prize inmate is none other than Professor X himself! But after his actions during Krakoa’s fall, is Professor X worth saving? And who or what is the secret weapon that Ellis is confident will protect Graymalkin against any attack? Find out in this four-part mutant milestone that solidifies the X-Men’s post-Krakoan world!

With one of their own incarcerated, the X-Men move on Graymalkin Prison in order to free their teammate. But it's not just one team – in Alaska, Cyclops’ X-Men scramble a rescue mission, while in Louisiana, Rogue’s X-Men move to strike out on their own sortie. Doctrinal rivals each with their own objective, will these two fractious teams find themselves at cross-purposes? After all...an “X” is made by two lines crossing.

The explosive saga ends here, with Rogue and Cyclops on opposite ends of the mutant struggle, perhaps forever! Are they honoring Xavier’s legacy or destroying it? Do they choose loyalty or the law? An all-out action issue that will affect both teams (and the entire mutant community) with devastating results! Featuring guest artist Javier Garrón!
"It's been an exciting time being part of the launch of the line of X-titles, but now we're really getting into it- our first crossover!” MacKay shared. “Raid on Graymalkin is going to push the X-Men of both Alaska and Louisiana to their breaking points and set the tone for the future, and it's been great to work with a legend like Gail in bringing it to life!"
"Writing in the X-World has been one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of my career," Simone said. “Best characters, best art team, best editors and best fellow creators, particularly Jed Mackay, who is just an idea machine. We've been throwing ideas back and forth nearly every day since we all started putting together the bones of what the X-Verse would be like, and I think it helps tremendously that we like and respect each other's work.”
“I hope that this is a precursor to more short crossovers,” Simone added. “We love the idea of doing something impactful, where it feels punchy and fast-paced, with some genuine, lasting effects. You can still just read X-MEN or UNCANNY X-MEN and follow the story, but you'll get a bigger, richer picture if you get both. As always, we have the welcome mat out for newbies and long-time readers alike!”

This January, writer Steve Foxe (Spider-Woman, Timeslide) and artist Ivan Fiorelli (Daredevil: Woman Without Fear, Timeslide) team up to reinvent what it means to be a teen hero in the Marvel Universe in NEW CHAMPIONS!
Last year, fans were introduced to all-new heroes inspired by Marvel icons in the hit New Champions Variant cover series. Since then, readers have been eager for them to make their in-universe debuts, and after a few popped up in various titles over the last few months, they’ll explode onto the page in their very own ongoing series.
The group begins with Liberty, Hellrune, Moon Squire, and Cadet Marvel, but will expand quickly over the first arc of the series as more New Champions answer the call! But not all are destined to be heroes and some have dark connections to established Marvel lore that could spell disaster for the fledging team before they can get off the ground. Each New Champion has a story to tell, and together, they have a world to change! Mystery, action, and drama awaits as Marvel Comics’ next beloved teen super hero team assembles!
WHO ARE THE NEW CHAMPIONS?
What do four kids whose lives were derailed by Hydra, Scarlet Witch’s mysterious protégé, a cursed roller derby jammer and a Wakandan runaway have in common? Not much! But when Hellrune’s mysterious powers activate to bring them together, they’ll have to learn how to work as a team quickly—or face the wrath of the Cult of Hela!
“As soon as I saw the New Champions variants, my mind started racing dreaming up possible origins and powers and codenames for these imagined sidekicks,” Foxe explained. “Reverse-engineering the cast from the covers was unlike any other creative process I’ve ever been involved in, and I’m beyond stoked to debut a whole new class of Marvel heroes (and a few villains!) in NEW CHAMPIONS alongside Ivan Fiorelli, who makes each and every one of these new additions feel like they’ve been part of the fabric of the universe all along.”
“I’m really looking forward to diving into New Champions!” Fiorelli said. “What really excites me about this project is the opportunity to bring fresh faces into the Marvel Universe, and explore something completely new. These young heroes have their own stories to tell, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they’ll grow and evolve visually as the series unfolds. I hope readers will enjoy reading our pages as much as I will enjoy illustrating them!”
“I’ve been dying to write a teen hero team my whole career—it’s the time in everyone’s life when we’re figuring out who we really are, and adding Norse magic or jet-powered punches or accidental hell portals to that search for identity is a recipe for storytelling gold,” Foxe added.
Check out the main cover by Gleb Melnikov along with variant covers by Paco Medina, Luciano Vecchio, and Federico Vicentini. Stay tuned in the months ahead for more news about the NEW CHAMPIONS and preorder the first issue at your local comic shop today! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

https://buzzpreview.buzzcomics.net/2024-09/Marvel/samwcapam2025001_cover.jpg
This January, Sam Wilson takes to the skies once again in a brand-new limited series! Co-written by Greg Pak (STAR WARS: DARTH VADER) and Evan Narcisse (WAKANDA) and drawn by artist Eder Messias (PHASES OF THE MOON KNIGHT), SAM WILSON: CAPTAIN AMERICA will put Sam to the test – and take him to his limit – in an all-new high-flying Cap adventure!
The new series sets Captain America on a collision course with the Red Hulk after the Winged Avenger uncovers a nefarious plot parading itself as a new tech venture. As both a social worker and a super hero, Sam will reckon with his legacy as Captain America in this super spy thriller. Series writers Greg Pak and Evan Narcisse sit down with Marvel.com to reveal further details about SAM WILSON: CAPTAIN AMERICA and its first arc, "Better Angels".
"Working with Evan on this book has been an absolute dream. We've spent hours sharing big ideas, finishing each other's thoughts, and cackling out loud over the story we're cooking up. Seeing the pages roll in from Eder has been absolutely mind-blowing," shares Pak.
"It’s going to be a fun, fast, high-octane adventure that also explores what it means to feel locked out of the American Dream. I feel pretty confident in saying Sam’s never flown through skies like these before," says Narcisse.
When explaining his thoughts on the character, he adds: "One of the great things about Sam Wilson is that he straddles the line between everyman and super hero in classic Marvel fashion. The core of "Better Angels" will explore how he navigates that tension and how he and others have expanded the symbolism of the Captain America legacy in a very different way."
"We're pulling out all the stops to tell a story that matters, that goes deep into what it means for a Black social worker from Harlem to pick up the shield – and put on those wings! – while delivering massive action and thrills in the grand tradition of Marvel super spy science fiction," explains Pak. "I particularly love how grounded the book is with characters like Sam's fast-talking cousin Billie, my new favorite character ever, while taking to the sky in ways you've never seen! And yes, that's a big tease! Don’t you dare miss it!”
SAM WILSON SOARS AGAIN!
When Captain America attends a birthday party for Isaiah Bradley, he catches wind of a new tech venture that sounds too good to be true: magnificent floating platforms in the sky, where the disenfranchised can apply for land grants and establish their own farms. But after Sam discovers the organization’s dark underbelly, he’ll have to tangle with its head of security: Red Hulk!

Mark Millar may return to Marvel for a project he claims is "bigger than Civil War."
Millar has been discussing plans with both Marvel and DC, having met with Marvel's Editor-In-Chief recently.
Millar considered a new Superman story but might delay it due to the character's upcoming public domain status.
Millar is balancing commitments with Netflix but hints at an exciting new Marvel project in the works.

Old Man Logan n'importe quoi hors continuité.
