DC will wrap up its eight-month Batman – One Bad Day event in March with the final one-shot Batman - One Bad Day: Ra's Al Ghul #1, which the publisher calls "the most epic to date."

The 64-page prestige format special is written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by brand-name DC artists Ivan Reis along and Danny Miki.

One Bad Day: Ra's Al Ghul follows specials that according to DC told "definitive tales" about Batman's rogues' gallery of supervillains, including (and in order) The Riddler, Two-Face, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Bane, and Clayface, respectively.

"WHY WON'T BATMAN SAVE THE WORLD?!" DC asks (in caps) provocatively.

"For centuries Ra's al Ghul has wanted to save the Earth from the worst of humankind, and for centuries he has failed. Recently his greatest obstacle has been the Dark Knight Detective, Batman. Ra's offered Batman a chance to be a part of his new world order, but Batman refused. For years their cold war has raged, but Ra's will have no more. Ra's will remove Batman from the equation and save the world, re-creating it in his image and bringing the peace and prosperity all the good-hearted souls of this Earth deserve."

Batman - One Bad Day: Ra's Al Ghul #1 will also feature a cover by Reis and Miki along with variants by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair, Bill Sienkiewicz, Bruno Redondo, Brian Bolland, and Giuseppe Camuncoli and Arif Prianto.

Faut que j'aille lire le Mr Freeze mais pour l'instant pas trop top ces one-shots. Je pestais sur le Riddler de King, et c'est le meilleur pour l'instant.
A voir celui-ci, sur le papier il a du potentiel.

Bon voilà le dernier de la série, il y a eu du très bon comme du passable, mais dans l'ensemble ça se tenait même si le concept "à la Killing Joke" n'a pas tenu ses promesses.

Du coup tu me conseilles lequels ? Je suis sur de prendre ceux de King et Taylor mais quid des autres ?

Je n'ai pas encore lu le Clayface mais il a de bonnes critiques.
Riddler on en pense ce qu'on veut mais on est clairement dans le haut du panier. Two-Face est à mon avis le plus faible car avec une intrigue et sa résolution téléphonée.
Pinguin et Bane sont bizarres car on ne sait pas si ils sont dans la continuité, seul l'avenir nous le dira. Catwoman est juste une énième histoire qui tente de raconter une partie de son passé et de justifier qu'on puisse être voleuse mais avec une morale.
Enfin Freeze n'a pas dû me marquer, j'ai du mal à me souvenir de quoi il parle. En somme, je n'en conseille pas un plus que l'autre.

Cette discussion m'a motivé à lire le Clayface, et effectivement il est pas mal. Il confirme que Lanzing et Kelly sont les deux talents de l'écriture de comics de super héros à surveiller.

Pour ma part, j'en retiens deux qui me paraissent largement au-dessus du reste : le Riddler de King et le Clayface de Kelly et Lanzing.

On est d'accord, et leur point commun est qu'ils respectent tous les deux la consigne éditoriale qui demandait de rattacher le récit à une sorte d'hommage à Killing Joke.
Pour le Clayface ça a même donné une bonne idée, avec l'angle méta sur les origines du Joker.
