The crime of the century in Gotham City…generations before DC’s Dark Knight!
Tom King and Phil Hester share the secret origin of Gotham City!

How did Gotham become such an active cesspool of criminal activity? Gotham City: Year One will explore the city's fall from grace, two generations before Batman made it his mission to rid his hometown of dangerous villains.

Written by King and Hester, illustrated by Eric Gapstur, colored by Jordie Bellaire, and lettered by Clayton Cowles, Gotham City: Year One will follow private investigator Slam Bradley as he gets caught up in the "kidnapping of the century" – AKA the disappearance of infant Wayne heir Helen.

"Night falls quickly in Gotham City," Hester says in the announcement. "The shadows cut across guilty and innocent alike. I feel lucky to be the artist to show you just how this city got so dark in the first place."

He continues, "Tom has crafted a story that will echo across Batman lore past and present, and I hope the storytelling techniques Eric, Jordie, Clayton and I are bringing to bear will augment his razor-keen approach. I'm honored to play a small part in bringing Siegel and Shuster's landmark creation to a new audience, and in giving one of DC's oldest legends the white-hot spotlight he deserves."

King adds, "Having written a ton of Batman comics, I can say it's incredibly rare to write a book like this, where you can add something large and essential to the mythos of the Dark Knight, as Scott did with Court of Owls or Grant did with the introduction of Damian or Frank did with, well, everything he touched."

"In Gotham City: Year One, Phil and I will take you to a noir-drenched past, where the secrets that made Gotham become Gotham, the sins that made Batman become Batman are finally and violently revealed."

Si Joshua Williamson a voulu faire croire à la mort de Beast Boy (SPOILER ALERT, ce n'est pas le cas), Tom King l'aurait fait...


Evidemment, les membres de la Justice League ne sont pas morts (SPOILER ALERT :D) mais sont prisonniers de mondes "idéaux" pour eux, la raison de ce choix par Pariah sera expliquée.


Joshua Williamson et Daniel Sampere se sont rencontrés la veille (à San Diego).


L'event va avoir un impact sur la franchise Flash (bin oui, cahier des charges tout ça).


Dark Crisis: Young Justice est un hommage à la série d'origine : ils devaient être la prochaine génération mais rien ne leur en laisse jamais l'opportunité.

Dans Dark Crisis #3, Black Adam voudra tuer Count Vertigo en le démembrant (cahier des charges toujours :oups:) comme avertissement ce qui va causer un conflit.


Ce numéro sera l’occasion d'un affrontement entre Black Adam, les troupes de Deathstroke et la Legion of Doom.


Comme prévu, la Justice Society of America sera de la partie, tout comme le Green Lantern Corps qui va investiguer le secteur 666 à la recherche de Nekron pour savoir s'il y a un lien.


Le titre originel de l'event était Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths mais Joshua Williamson a voulu garder le secret pour ne pas que la fin puisse être devinée. Enfin, il indique quand même que Pariah va gagner... :beu:


Cela aboutira au retour des Terres infinies dans Dark Crisis #4 et de personnages qui vont jouer un grand rôle.

Les 1ers numéros vont ressortir avec le titre complet.


Wally va bien retrouver Barry ce qui permettra le retour du duo Barry/Hal à la The Brave and the Bold dans Dark Crisis #4 pour ramener la Justice League.

Joshua Williamson explique que l'histoire est tellement importante qu'elle ne pouvait être contenue dans les 7 numéros et qu'il fallait des tie-ins.


Damian va essayer de prendre le contrôle de la Dark Army avec l'aide de Sideways, Red Canary, Doctor Light et Power Girl.


C'est un tie-in crucial qui a aussi un lien avec la mini-série à venir Batman vs. Robin.


Dark Crisis: War Zone #1 est un point de vue de la rue de l'event par Linda park et Iris West (:woot:) : il est écrit par Jeremy Adams et Stephanie Williams.

Ah ça peut être sympathique ça dis donc. J'avais pris les précédents à l'époque, je devrais me laisser tenter encore cette fois. Juste pour revoir Capullo sur du Spawn et du Batman, des persos qu'il maîtrise un peu tout de même. :D

Comme Panini après Hox/Pox ?

J'ai pas suivi les dernières parutions des x-men.
Mais tout dépend de l'interaction des séries parallèles au niveau de la série principale.
Par exemple dans infinite crisis le format chronologique aurait été intéressant pour certains titres parallèles.
Cependant ce n'est pas le cas de toutes les séries parallèles (et de tous les events de manière générale.)

Je pense qu'urban comic va se caler sur la manière d'éditer en V.O.
Peut être série principale et compagnon ?
