Told. You. So!


The Many Deaths of Laila Starr chez Boom. Potentiel Eisner Awards, on n'avait rien fait de mieux sur la mort en comics depuis Gaiman et Bachalo. Ici dans le siège des conducteurs on avait Ram V et Filipe Adrade pour un récit sur autant d'époques que de singles, ce qui rendait la lecture d'autant plus appréciable dans ce format. C'était beau, fort, emprunt d'une certaine magie. Un instant classic qui mériterait d'être plus sous les spotlights.

Ouais élire un titre qui n'a pas eu de numéro depuis 1 an, c'est fou en comparaison des autres titres nommés.

A la fois quelle est la période de publication prise en compte ? Le palmarès est en juillet mais les nominations en mai. On peut estimer que l'on est soit sur les des titres parus l'année précédente (donc tout 2021), soit sur un période mars A-1 mars A. Dans les deux cas BITTER ROOT a bien eu des numéros publiés.

Ce qui est plus dommage c'est que le jury n'est pas pris en compte dans son vote la publication irrégulière du titre comme critère.

Pas certains qu'il y ait un message derrière. Les Eisner Award comme d'autres récompenses sont souvent objet de polémique, notamment quand les séries plébiscitées par le public n'obtiennent rien. Il y a toujours eu un poté "élitiste" (je n'aime pas ce mot) en effet. Et puis NIGHTWING a t il besoin de récompense pour fonctionner ? (même si cela fait toujours plaisir de voir ses paires reconnaitre la qualité de son travail)

Maintenant on peut aussi retourner l'argumentation : NIGHTWING méritait-il 5 nominations ?

Dans d'autre palmarès ils limitent désormais le nombre de récompense possible pour une oeuvre, permettant ainsi d'en distinguer beaucoup plus. Pas idiot, mais à l'arrivée on peut aussi se dire que ce n'est pas forcément le "meilleur" qui gagne (victoire par défaut).
