Co-writers Robert Windom (Stars Fell On Alabama) and Kelvin Mao (10 Minutes Gone) team up with superstar artist Jae Lee for his first new creator-owned project since 1994 in the upcoming thriller Seven Sons. This seven issue miniseries is set to launch from Image Comics in June.

"Seven Sons is a complex and interesting story that grabs you from page one," said Lee. "I'm excited for people to join us on this thrill ride!"

In Seven Sons, Delph—a young man who may be the Second Coming of Christ—runs for his life as he attempts to learn the truth behind his existence.

"Kelvin and I were interested in exploring the impact of religion in society—but with murder, mystery, romance, and even a missile attack or two—and Jae Lee is the perfect artist to realize our vision of this alternative history," said Windom.

Seven Sons is the perfect series for fans of fast-paced plotting like The Fugitive paired with The Da Vinci Code’s Biblically high stakes.

Seven Sons #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 15:

Depuis que Jae Lee n'était plus interior artist, mais juste sur les covers, il a développé un style où la symétrie verticale dominait, et voilà qu'il reproduit ça ici.

Yeah, quel plaisir de revoir Jae Lee sur autre chose que des couvertures (celle-ci est d'ailleurs très chouette, très intrigante !!!) :D

Franchement je ne vous suis pas, autant je suis fan du cinéma de Wes Anderson, que là la toute une construction en symétrie verticale ne m'attire pas du tout.

Après une 1ère lecture où, fatigue aidant, je n'avais pas été plus convaincu que cela, j'ai retenté hier : mouais, je vois où cela risque d'aller.
Gros potentiel de brûlot si les associations US se penchent dessus... :D

Par contre, même en étant fan de Jae Lee, j'ai trouvé cela plus froid et mécanique que d'habitude.
