BOOM! Studios, in collaboration with 20th Television, revealed a first look at BUFFY THE LAST VAMPIRE SLAYER #4, the final issue in a brand new four-issue comic book series out February 2022. From acclaimed writer Casey Gilly (Femme Magnifique, Star Wars Adventures) and artist Joe Jaro (Firefly) comes a dystopian tale of the iconic Slayer, Buffy Summers, like you’ve never seen her before.
The Slayer and her allies make one last desperate attempt to bring sunlight back to Earth and send the reigning Evil forces back into the shadows . . . but the loss of Buffy’s powers is proving too much to bear, and even with the help of Spike, the witches, and newly discovered Potential Slayer Thess, she might not make it. Will Buffy be able to hold on long enough to save the world and see her Slayer legacy continue in Thess? Find out in the conclusion to the epic post-apocalyptic series!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered on March 10th, 1997. The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series ran for seven seasons from 1997-2003. Chosen to battle vampires, demons and other forces of darkness, Buffy is aided by a Watcher who guides and teaches her as she surrounds herself with a circle of friends called the Scooby Gang.
BUFFY THE LAST VAMPIRE SLAYER #4 features main cover art by acclaimed illustrator Ario Anindito (Star Wars: The High Republic) and variant cover art by fan favorite artists Claire Roe (Bury the Lede), Dani Pendergast (An Unkindness of Ravens), Jakub Rebelka (Judas, Origins), and Giuseppe Camuncoli (Undiscovered Country) with Leonardo Marcello Grassi and Bill Crabtree.
