Flash/zagor Nathan Never/justice League et avant y a eu Dylan dog/Batman.
Mais tout en italien....

La mini-série est co-écrite avec Jeremy Adams s'occupant très bien de The Flash et Tim Sheridan faisant de même avec Teen Titans Academy.


Cela débute par un #0 de 48 pages le 5 avril dessiné par Eduardo Risso (avec qui Geoff Johns voulait travailler) qui s'était chargé de Flashpoint: Knight Of Vengeance qui se penchera sur les circonstances du retour du monde de Flashpoint.


Chaque numéro de la mini-série par la suite en 6 épisodes (dès le 19 avril) toutes les 2 semaines sera co-écrite par les 3 auteurs et dessinée par Xermanico où Thomas Wayne sera à la poursuite d'un mystérieux vilain nommé Clockwork Killer.

In FLASHPOINT BEYOND #1 Batman’s hunt for the Clockwork Killer brings him to Europe and face to face with the mad king, Aquaman. On the eve of Aquaman’s sinking of London, Batman infiltrates his stronghold and goes on the warpath for answers. Nothing matters to Batman, whose world is already dead, but if he can track down the Clockwork Killer, Thomas can save his son’s world and put everything back together again.


Pour Geoff Johns, c'est la suite directe de Flashpoint plutôt qu'une histoire se déroulant avant le 1er event.


Le fameux Clockwork Killer affectera le héros et toute cette réalité.

Lui aurait été excellent à l’époque des grands éditeurs amoureux de DC pour débuter comme le fut Johns , avec les Carlin, Payer , Tomasi , Berganza

:hum: Est ce à dire que flahpoint beyond sera en 6 épisodes ? Que le 0 et le 1 seront écrits par Geoff JOHNS et que le suite sera co-écrit entre les 3 auteurs précités ? :hum:

Si c'est le cas, je l'interprète comme le fait que Geoff JOHNS a écrit l'histoire générale, qu'il est parti, et que deux autres auteurs ont planché sur les numéros qui suivent en reprenant l'histoire que Geoff JOHNS avait laissée.

Je vais prendre parce que Geoff JOHNS, mais tant que je n'aurai pas d'annonce officielle comme quoi "Geoff JOHNS is back", je reste septique.

EDIT: j'ai eu ma réponse en regardant les crédits du preview, c'est co-écrit dès le 1.

EDIT2: Bon au regard des différents articles glanés sur des sites "angloscribes" (:D ). Geoff JOHNS indique bien que toutes les personnes impliquées sur le projet donnent tous ce qu'il ont (je vous résume hein). Donc il valide la co-écriture.

30 years ago, DC Comics killed Superman. From this far-off vantage point, we know that the Man of Steel got better eventually. But after being beaten to death by the monster Doomsday in the pages of Superman #75, Clark Kent was gone from DC comics for almost a full calendar year. His absence felt real.

DC loves to homage anniversaries like this (such as when they published the 2005 crossover event Infinite Crisis timed to the 20th anniversary of Crisis on Infinite Earths) and they're saluting 30 years of "The Death of Superman" in style. Over on The CW, Superman & Lois is hinting at the imminent arrival of Doomsday. And in the pages of DC Comics, an even bigger threat is bearing down on the Justice League.

This time, more than one hero will die. The current Justice League comic will come to an end with issue #75 (recognize that number?), a story that will see DC's greatest superheroes killed in battle against an unstoppable enemy. Yes, really — the Justice League is going to die.

"It's very serious," writer Joshua Williamson tells EW. "It's an interesting opportunity to do this on the 30th anniversary of 'The Death of Superman,' which happened in Superman #75. We get to take Justice League #75 and do 'Death of the Justice League.' We want people to understand, this is serious and this is gonna have a major impact in the DCU moving forward."

Williamson continues, "I remember the experience of reading the build-up to 'The Death of Superman' and then waiting in the rain for my copy of issue #75. I think one reason that story was so powerful was that after the 'Funeral for a Friend' story, there were no Superman comics for three months. That's part of what led us to make the decision that this is the last issue of Justice League. But then three months later, there's still not gonna be a Justice League comic. It's gonna be a while, and that's gonna be a major part of what the DCU looks like after this story: There is no Justice League."

For most of the past year, Justice League has been written by Brian Michael Bendis. But Williamson, who penned last year's Infinite Frontier event and the follow-up series Justice League Incarnate, is swooping in to bring this iteration of the comic to an explosive end that will take the epic over-story he's been building into its next chapter.

"Ever since Infinite Frontier #0, we've been building to this story," Williamson says. "Last year was a lot of fun and games, but when this story starts, it's the beginning of the third act. We're going to see things get darkest before the dawn. The Justice League gets called in to fight this Dark Army that's been building on the edge of the multiverse. They go up against this Dark Army and they lose."

The DC superhero universe has changed a lot in recent years, with several new, younger, more diverse heroes and sidekicks taking up the good fight. But while a veteran like Nightwing has seen crises come and go, what effect will the destruction of the Justice League have on newer recruits like Wonder Girl Yara Flor or Green Lantern Jessica Cruz?

"We'll get to see what the ramifications are of losing the Justice League," Williamson says. "You'll get to see how the new heroes react, how some of the heroes that have been around for a while react, you'll see how people on the ground react to this idea of the Justice League dying, and then you'll get to see how all the villains react. What happens when they know the Justice League is gone?"

That's all for the future, though. In and of itself, Justice League #75 will focus on the apocalyptic battle between the Justice League and the Dark Army in a dead multiverse. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Zatanna will embark on this mission — and only one will return to tell the rest of the universe what has happened.

Though Williamson is writing the scenes, it falls to artist Rafa Sandoval to actually depict these beloved superheroes dying in battle.

"My first reaction when I read this script was, 'Wow! This is going to be huge!' Right after that, I started thinking, 'how do I approach drawing this?' " Sandoval tells EW. "There is a big battle with lots of characters and also a very critical and sad moment, so I thought of some movies that I could use as a reference for this book. The Lord of the Rings helped me plan shots and how I could show the battle, as well as how to transition from the battle to the most critical moment, the death of the Justice League. I escalate the action by going from distant shots to close-ups and then suddenly do the opposite to force the reader to stop and take in what is happening on the page. Drawing such a painful death for these characters after they fought so hard was tough. As an artist, though, drawing such epic and emotional moments was a big challenge, and I love these challenges!"

The Death of the Justice League is only the beginning of the story. Superstar writer Joshua Williamson (BATMAN) and artist Rafa Sandovel (THE FLASH) bring you the beginning of the next big DCU event starting in JUSTICE LEAGUE #75, available at local comic book shops and participating digital retailers on April 19!

“We've been building to the Death of the Justice League for the last year across the main line,” said Williamson. “I remember buying DEATH OF SUPERMAN 30 years ago and now we have an opportunity to take that idea and go bigger with it. JUSTICE LEAGUE 75 allows us to showcase why the Justice League are comics' greatest heroes as we show the aftermath of the loss against their biggest threat ever and its impact on the DCU.”

A new Dark Army made up of the DCU’s greatest villains has formed on the edges of the Multiverse and the best and most powerful heroes are pulled together in an epic war to push the darkness back. In the end, the Justice League are killed by the Dark Army with only one survivor to warn the remaining heroes of Earth about what is coming for them!

“Being able to draw the Justice League is always exciting, they are just the greatest superhero team of all time,” said Sandoval. “We will see a great evil coming out of the darkness and more dark characters that will be revealed very soon. This book is just the starting point and fans do not want to be left behind and miss what is going to happen.”

In addition to the main special acetate cover featuring artwork by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sanchex, JUSTICE LEAGUE #75 will feature an extensive variant cover program to celebrate the final issue of the series. Some of the top names in comics, including Alex Maleev, Dan Jurgens & Norm Rapmund, Mikel Janin, Tony Harris and more, have contributed variant covers.

“After working with Rafa on THE FLASH and seeing the amazing work he did on HAL JORDAN AND THE GREEN LANTERN CORP, I knew that he excels at big cosmic battles while also finding those emotional moments between the characters,” said Williamson.

“I was lucky to work with Josh on THE FLASH and it was one of the most fun times of my career,” added Sandoval. “He has always given me freedom to work and does not set boundaries to my creativity. When I draw Josh's scripts, I always get reminded of why I wanted to become a comic book artist years ago.”

The supersized 48-page issue will be available at local comic book shops and participating digital retailers on April 19.

C'est une technique qui a permis à Valiant de tenir ses deadline avec des auteurs qui auraient eu du mal à tenir 22 pages par mois. Flashback, dimension parallèle, point de vue différent peuvent être exploités ainsi. Dernièrement on a eu Blue & Gold #4 sur ce principe qui était une réussite.

Anne Leung DePies has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of DC, the comics publishing giant and home to the World’s Greatest Super Heroes. The appointment is effective immediately and was announced by Pam Lifford, President, WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences to whom DePies will report. DePies replaces the role previously held by Daniel Cherry III.

DePies will be responsible for the operations, revenue, legal, marketing, brand management, and strategic planning of the DC business, with a special focus on driving DC’s international and digital expansion. She will partner with Jim Lee, DC’s Chief Creative Officer and Publisher on creative, talent, and editorial decisions to support and drive DC’s aggressive story, character, and digital plans along with continuing DC’s commitment to the direct market comic book retailers.

“Anne’s deep knowledge and appreciation of the DC business, legacy and people will be invaluable in this new leadership role,” said Pam Lifford, President WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences. “She understands our fans, characters and stories, and along with Jim, will passionately build our DC publishing business to even greater heights,” Lifford added.

She helped align the company’s business functions and team structure with today’s marketplace realities, and worked across publishing, editorial, sales and marketing and key support functions resulting in a record revenue year in 2021. Prior to DC, DePies worked on acquisitions across Warner Bros. theatrical, television, and video games units.

DePies started her career in 1999 at Arthur Andersen consulting and holds her degrees in International Economics and Accounting from UCLA. She completed her MBA there in 2005.
