Bestselling writer and producer Mark Millar (Jupiter's Legacy, Kingsman: The Secret Service) returns to the magical world he created as a live-action Netflix series to release the second volume in the comic book adaptation. Olivier Coipel (Amazing Spider-Man, Thor) was drafted in to draw the first volume in this five book set and delivered one of the best jobs of his career. Now legendary artist Stuart Immonen (Empress, Star Wars, New Avengers) is in the chair for the much-anticipated sequel. The Magic Order 2 #1 will launch this October from Image Comics.

The London chapter of the Magic Order has entered the scene, and these tough Guy Ritchie-style gangsters have a problem with the Eastern European Warlocks moving into their territory. Can new leader Cordelia Moonstone keep the peace?

Stuart Immonen, rien que ça ?!!! Après Coipel, le niveau dessin ne baissera pas en tous cas !
J'ai assez hâte de lire ce deuxième opus.

C'est un peu dommage qu'Immonen consente à rester dans un style proche de Coipel. Ca n'est pas désagréable mais bon, du Immonen pur jus aurait été plus original.

Je pense que c'est surtout un choix de sa part. Et du Immonen "pur jus" je ne sais pas ce que c'est tellement il peut adopter de styles différents.

Je ne trouve pas qu'Immonen imite Coipel sur cette preview. Immonen est plus complet que Coipel à tous les niveaux, il comble les manques que peut avoir Coipel (qui a tendance à ne pas se forcer parce qu'il a cette facilité naturelle).
On reste dans un registre réaliste classique, qui me semble proche de ce qu'il a fait récemment sur Plunge. Le fait que désormais Immonen se passe d'encreur l'amène peut-être à moins expérimenter sur des projets mainstream comme celui-ci (tandis qu'il se lâche sur des projets persos comme son futur Grass of Parnassus).

Oui il n'imite pas mais son style est dans la continuité. Il fait des liens.
J'ai beaucoup aimé Plunge d'ailleurs. Par contre j'ai jamais été convaincu par les projets perso des Immonen

Pourtant Grass of Parnassus (paru en partie sur Instagram il y a quelques temps de ça) c'est vraiment très bon !!! Hâte de voir arriver le volume papier !
Sinon, pareil, je n'arrive pas trop à voir en quoi Immonen copie Coipel dans ces planches, c'est assez loin du style du frenchy et heureusement !

Déjà faite plusieurs fois mais vas-y il ne faut pas que les gens oublient qu'Olivier Coipel s'appelle Stephen Segovia dès le #2. :D
