Pas de soucis, un nouveau recueil intégrera la mini-série et l'Annual...

Back in 2019, writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Mark Bagley teamed up for Spider-Man: Life Story, a limited series which approached Peter Parker's life and career as Spider-Man as if it had continued in real-time for nearly sixty years since his 1962 debut. Now, the creative team will reunite for another telling of Spider-Man's career, Life Story style – this time from the perspective of none other than J. Jonah Jameson.

Zdarsky and Bagley will look back at Jameson's life and career (in other words his 'life story') through the lens of his obsession with Spider-Man in August's Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1.

"J. Jonah Jameson will do whatever it takes to make the world see that Spider-Man is nothing but a threat and a menace. Will the decades of his obsession bear fruit for Jonah … or be his destruction?" reads Marvel's synopsis for Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1.

"Just like the original series, this special issue will offer a thought-provoking retrospective of the entire history of Spider-Man as if he had aged in real time since his 1962 debut, reframing Spider-Man's greatest adventures, his tragic romance with Gwen Stacy, and his most iconic villains against the backdrop of key moments from each decade," it continues. "And now, readers will see Spider-Man's groundbreaking history told from a different point of view…"

Interestingly enough, Zdarsky is the writer who had Peter Parker reveal his identity as Spider-Man to Jameson in the mainstream Marvel Universe in 2017's Spectacular Spider-Man #6, which has drastically changed the relationship between the two characters since.

"Working on the original Spider-Man: Life Story was a dream come true for me," Zdarsky states in the annual's announcement. "But the problem with the miniseries was that I didn't have the room to properly tell the life story of one of my all-time favorite characters: J. Jonah Jameson! Getting the chance to revisit this universe with Mark again has been an absolute blast!"

Spider-Man: Life Story Annual #1 is due out August 4, with a cover from Zdarsky.

Quand j'ai appris son retour chez Marvel, j'ai aussi immédiatement pensé aux FF. Je pense que ça aurait de la gueule, à condition de lui associer un encreur un peu "pêchu".

D'un autre côté, un retour sur Cap' accentuerait encore (dans mon esprit, du moins) le parallèle avec Kirby.
Par contre, l'hypothèse Cates au scénario ... Comment dire, va falloir bosser un peu les intrigues et pas se contenter de tout faire péter à droite et à gauche, là, hein :beu:

J'ai repensé à quel perso pourrait "amuser" tant que ça Cates. Et je me suis dit que Marvel oserait peut-être ressortir le Punisher de la naphtaline dans cette Amérique post-Trump. Surtout que Frank Castle est quelque part le perso Marvel qui a lancé la carrière mainstream du scénariste, avec sa forme Cosmic Ghost Rider.

Moon Knight will headline a new ongoing Marvel Comics series beginning in July.

The new series features the creative talents of writer Jed MacKay (Black Cat, Taskmaster) and artist Alessandro Cappuccio (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Spinning out of the events of Jason Aaron's Avengers run, the series features the titular vigilante protecting those who enter his newly formed Midnight Mission. Moon Knight will also deal with the loss of his god, Khonshu, who he imprisoned at the end of the "Age of Khonshu" storyline in Avengers.

"I'm very excited to be working with Alessando Cappuccio on the continuing adventures of one of Marvel's biggest messes- Moon Knight!" MacKay said while discussing the series. "In the wake of his disastrous attempt to take over the world in the 'Age of Khonshu,' Marc Spector (et al) has retreated to what he knows- busting heads on the streets. But despite betraying his god to the Avengers, the Fist of Khonshu's obligations remain the same- to protect those travelling at night. Apostate priest of the moon god, the mysterious Mr. Knight has opened the doors of his Midnight Mission, where those in fear of the weird and strange may petition for the aid of the Moon Knight! But this doesn't sit well with everyone, and hidden threats circle Marc's new start from the shadows..."

"When Tom Brevoort contacted me to work on the new Moon Knight series, I couldn't believe it," Cappuccio added. "Debuting in Marvel Comics with one of my favorite characters is a dream come true! The story is a new beginning for Moon Knight, Jed did an excellent job as usual on the scripts and I'm delighted to be working with a professional of his caliber."

Moon Knight is the alter ego of Marc Spector, who was blessed with powers from the moon god Khonshu after suffering a fatal accident. He is well known for his brutal methods as well as dealing with dissociative identity disorder, which often leads to the emergence of multiple personalities. A Moon Knight television series is currently in pre-production at Disney+, with Oscar Issac reportedly attached to don the vigilante's trademark white hood.

Vu que le Hellfire Gala va introduire la nouvelle équipe X-Men, peut-être qu'on aura enfin du vrai X-Men, car clairement, même si j'apprécie ce que je lis depuis HOXPOX, je n'ai que trop rarement l'impression de lire du X-Men...

Tempo et Boom Boom sont éliminées aussi.
Sam a été relégué depuis plusieurs années de futur leader potentiel à sidekick de Roberto. Je le vois mal l'emporter.
A moins qu'Ewing et Hickman aient truqué les votes pour sélectionner Roberto, c'est Lorna qui va gagner.

La majorité préfère toujours les vieux classiques à cause du cercle vicieux apparitions>popularité>apparitions, et Lorna est plus appréciée que Sean.

Lorna est plus appréciée que Sean.

Dans tous les cas, Lorna comme Sean étaient dès le départ les choix les plus logiques/légitimes (avec Forge, selon moi). Les autres étant souvent des seconds couteaux ou des perso trop "jeunes" (Armor)... Quant à Cannonball et Solar, difficile de les imaginer l'un sans l'autre, et finalement, je crois que leur place la plus intéressante était finalement dans les Avengers d'HICKMAN (notamment avec Solar à la tête de l'AIM).

Voilà, il ne reste que Lorna et Sean ! En vrai, il y avait assez peu de surprise quand on y pense !

En tous cas, j'espère vraiment beaucoup de ce titre X-Men. Que Lorna rejoigne cette équipe, qu'importe, c'est vraiment le ton et l'écriture du titre qui m'intéresse, surtout que bon, les perso ne sont pas toujours tous utilisés ou bien utilisés, donc que ce soit elle ou un autre, ça tombe, ça ne changera pas grand chose.

D'ailleurs, a-t-on déjà la liste définitive des autres membres de cette équipe ?

Cela expliquerait sans doute le report à une date indéterminée du comic Marvel et des variant covers, le temps que ce soit réglé.

Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Sunfire, Rogue, Wolverine (X-23, pas Logan), Synch, et... Polaris (quel suspense sur ce perso lol).

Bon, il faut bien avouer que Sunfire, X-23 et Synch, c'est plutôt "un peu" original. En tous cas, je ne m'y attendais pas. Ravi de revoir X23 à un rôle important... je me demande par contre pourquoi ils n'ont pas choisi Logan dans ce rôle !

Symbiote Spider-Man - King in Black #5: dernière partie de cette troisième mini consacrée aux aventures du tisseur à l'époque où il était en possession du symbiote (ou l'inverse). Et il faut l'avouer, la meilleure des séries existantes à ce jour, et cet épisode vient le confirmer.

Tout cela est bien encourageant quand à la dernière page un teaser annonce un retour du titre, et vite espérons il faut battre le PaD tant qu'il est chaud.

Vraiment cool comme news, content que PaD puisse écrire sur le Crossroads Hulk. Avec ce genre de news une troisième mini Maestro ne m'étonnerait pas.

Après les couv de Bagley pour l'arc avec le Caméléon dernièrement, et là, cet arc avec deux équipes de Sinister Six dessiné cette fois par Bagley, ils commencent vraiment à me faire regretter d'avoir arrêté le Spider-man de Spencer :oups:

Donc pour le coup, ça fonctionne sur moi :D Mais sur Spidey en particulier, je sais que je suis très nostalgique de ces perso "classiques".

(au passage, on a connu les héritiers de Howard plus sourcilleux sur l'usage qui est fait de leur propriété : le chèque signé par Marvel à la signature des droits devait comporter son lot de "0", j'imagine ...)

Conan avait pas trop mal commencé dans l'univers Marvel, mais il est en train de devenir un gros Gary Stu.
Tous les vilains et héros qui le rencontrent tombent sous son charme et admirent la mâle alpha qu'il est. En plus, son épée est un symbiote. Et voilà qu'il a déjà rencontré un Ghost Rider. Bientôt, on dira qu'il s'est tapé la mère de Thor.

Cette annexion dont tu parles n'est pas nouvelle, l'univers de Conan faisait déjà partie de l'univers Marvel dans les années 80... on a juste eu tendance à l'oublier parce que les droits n'étaient plus là, mais les perso originaux créés, comme Shuma-Gorath ou Kulan Gath, ont été parfaitement intégrés à l'univers Marvel (au point, pour le premier, de faire partie du roster des jeux Marvel vs Capcom). Le fait que Kulan Gath soit le vilain des débuts de Savage Avengers, c'est précisément un rappel de ce lien. A plus grosse échelle, on a eu Conan et d'autres perso d'Howard avec Moon Knight dans le crossover de la guerre du serpent.

Clairement, tant qu'on distingue bien le Conan du Marvelverse du Conan classique, ça ne me pose pas de problème.

Je sais bien tout ça.
Mais il me semble que c'est la première fois que des éléments constitutifs de l'univers Marvel investissent ainsi "physiquement" l'Age hyborien. Ca va au-delà de la présence de Conan dans le présent de Marvel ou de quelques liens ponctuels comme Kulan Gath.

Et ne pas lire les histoires en question n'empêche malheureusement pas d'être attristé par ce genre d'"idées".

Comme toujours, tout dépend de comment c'est traité... mais on peut légitimement s'attendre à ce que ça ne soit pas brillant, non.
Après, Conan à l'ère moderne Marvel, on en a fait le tour maintenant, non ? C'était déjà moyennement drôle et intéressant, là ça devient pathétique.

Bah je trouve que c est dans le ton de la gestion de l univers Marvel du moment.... Une recherche du buzz permanent sans chercher une certaine profondeur ou ligne directrice.

Entre Marvel et DC c est fou ce que j acheté comme manga en ce moment !!
