Oui car entre Maestro dans le futur et Symbiote Spider-Man dans le passé, le scénariste n'est pas au fait des évolutions du moment. Quoi que, il a bien géré la mini Symbote tie-in à King in Black, et Spurrier a su l'intégrer dans son Black Knight.
