The Scoobies have a credo; follow the mystery, and the monsters at the end are more human than you’d imagine. Which makes them even scarier. Scariest is when they were once your trusted friend, or closer. They know your flaws, they know what scares you, and they’ll happily use it all to bring hell. Fred Jones was one of the gang before he died. Now he leads a different pack, and that ascot serves a grislier purpose.
Both Scoobert and Scrappy have found renewed purpose in the resistance; they have people they fight for. Plus, the monster plague has never dealt with Velma and Shaggy defending their very real, very personal contribution to mankind’s future. Our heroes aren’t about to let the curtain fall, nor the fat nanite belt out a single note. Not without one Ragnarök of a fight.
Scooby Apocalypse #33 arrives January 16 with bloody lines drawn in the sand. In this exclusive first-look courtesy of DC, new alliances are hewn amid fearsome family reunions. The survivors may grapple to keep the Mystery Machine grinding forward. They may even have the added, morally ambiguous alliance of the Brothers Dinkley.
