Grosse déception de mon côté vis à vis de cette ligne de comics qui annonçait du lourd et qui en définitive a accouché d'une souris.
J'étais vraiment emballé avec toutes les annonces faites et à l'arrivée, que de déceptions et de promesses non tenues.
Il n'y a guère que les Terrifics qui tiennent la route pour moi.

On savait en lisant les solicits que Gleason ne restait pas sur "Action Comics". Ryan Sook a terminé un épisode et Paquette va au moins en dessiner un ensuite (mais il a dit sur sa page FB qu'il aimerait rester car il avait apprécié de travailler avec Bendis).

Sur CBR ou Newsarama, ils pensent que le mot "major" serait un indice sur ce projet secret, en relation avec le nom du personnage. En tout cas, Bendis est vraiment bien intégré chez DC.

Bendis je le veux sur Gotham central

Il va déjà écrire une histoire en douze épisodes de "Batman" distribuée par Wal-mart, que Nick Derington dessine.

Par ailleurs, je faisais un calcul l'autre soir : Tom King a annoncé qu'il arrêterait d'écrire "Batman" au n°103 (il pensait d'abord cesser au n°100 mais certains n° ont été co-écrits et il veut atteindre cent épisodes uniquement écrits par lui). On en est à 52 épisodes sortis. Donc, grosso modo, dans un peu plus de deux ans, son run sera terminé.
Est-ce que, alors, Bendis ne voudra pas échanger une de ses séries sur Superman pour récupérer "Batman" ? J'ai du mal à croire qu'il ne reviendra pas aux "street-level heroes" un jour, même s'il s'éclate visiblement avec Supe.

Espérons juste que ça n'interfère pas trop avec la présence de Swamp Thing dans la JLD de Tynion IV (à moins que le personnage ne fasse qu'un tour dans cette série puis soit remplacé par un autre héros, plus magique - genre Dr. Fate, qui figure en couv' du #2, par exemple).

Mais bon, j'ai l'impression que Capullo et Swamp Thing, c'est dans les tuyaux depuis un moment.

Warren Ellis has announced that his DC Comics series The Wild Storm will be taking a hiatus following October's #18, intending to work ahead so that the next arc - scheduled as the series' final arc - can run on a regular monthly schedule.

"The Wild Storm will take a two month break after issue 18 to get me and Jon Davis-Hunt some space to breathe for the last run from 19 to 24," Ellis wrote in his newsletter.

The Wild Storm's sister series, Michael Cray, is scheduled to end in October with #12.The planned Wildc.a.t.s. and Zealot series are still in development, with Ellis previously saying he had written the first issue of one.

Oui, tout à fait. Une grande surprise, car je n'en attendais rien, mais Ellis maîtrise - et réussit, surtout, à rappeler ses grandes heures, en réutilisant les mêmes éléments, mais différemment.
Une modernisation et une réorientation des concepts et des personnages ; c'est brillant.

Oui, je trouve ca cool aussi, c'est les persos mais pas vraiment. C'est vraiment une réinterprêtation d'un Wildcats des années 2020, comme les Wildcats 3.0 (qui n'avaient rien à voir avec les débuts) étaient ceux des années 2010 et ceux de moore les années 2000
