Daniel, the lord of Dreams, has gone missing and it causes chaos in the kingdom of dreams…A rift between worlds has opened, revealing a space beyond the Dreaming. Meanwhile, a book from Lucien’s library of all the unwritten books ever dreamed is discovered by a group of children in the waking world. Simultaneously, a new House appears—the House of Whispers—joining the Houses of Secret and Mystery in the Dreaming. Its proprietor is a fortune teller called Erzulie, whom the inhabitants of the Dreaming suspect may be responsible for all the strange goings on. Elsewhere, Lucifer has fallen again, only this time he might be in a Hell of his own design. And in London, a young boy named Timothy Hunter sleeps, in his dreams he becomes the world's most powerful magician, but in his nightmares, he becomes the world’s worst villain, which future will become reality?

The Dreaming, written by Simon “Si” Spurrier (Motherlands) and illustrated by Bilquis Evely (Wonder Woman).

House of Whispers, written by Nalo Hopkinson (Brown Girl in the Ring) and illustrated by Dominike “Domo” Stanton, a graduate of DC’s Talent Development Workshop who previously worked as an illustrator on FX shows like Archer, Chozen, and comics like DMC.

Lucifer, written by Dan Watters (Limbo) and illustrated by brothers Max and Sebastian Fiumara (Four Eyes).

Books of Magic, written by Kat Howard (An Unkindness of Magicians) and illustated by Tom Fowler (Rick and Morty).

J'ai un peu peur de l'effet ersatz, genre comme ce qu'on a pu voir dans les séries Young Animal (des trucs jolis mais gentiment inoffensifs, bien pâles par rapport à leurs aînés).

Les planches des frères Fiumara donnent bien envie par contre !

Je suis très emballé par le projet car ce sont des personnages qui me sont chers et que c'est le label Vertigo qui les accueille.

L'idée de renforcer le sentiment de "shared universe" me plait même s'il faut que cela reste tenu pour garder une bonne Vertigo vibe.

Sur la peur d'un contenu édulcoré, je te rejoins entièrement Zen Arcade.
Je ne m'attends pas du tout à retrouver le shared univers Vertigo des années 90 (Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Sandman, Lucifer, Books of Magic...) même si on avait déjà de "l'innofensif" à cette époque (certains Sandman Presents, des arcs de the Dreaming...).

J'espère que nous serons quand même au-dessus des séries Vertigo récentes comme Lucifer vol.2 ou Dead Boy Detectives...
J'avais aimé en revanche l'on-going House of Mystery !

Honnêtement, ces séries me font un effet assez fan-service mais j'éprouve un plaisir dingue à l'idée de les suivre !
