This fall, superstar artist Francesco Francavilla (Batman, The Black Beetle) will join Harvey award winning writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (MGM’s Carrie, The Town that Dreaded Sundown) on the highly anticipated ongoing horror series, Afterlife with Archie.

The story begins with Jughead's dog, Hot Dog, being run over with a car. Jughead brings the dog to Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, who, after much deliberation, brings the dog back to life. But Hot Dog is not the same sweet hound he was before, and he bites Jughead, infecting him with his virus.

C'est pas la mode gore et glauque là ici, rien à voir, c'est du rétro et de l'hommage à deux périodes et deux courants de comics.

Archie propose pas mal de trucs intéressants dans les mois à venir, il y a cette nouvelle ongoing mais aussi le Archie sur Thor par DeFalco avec une couverture de Simonson et The Fox de sa ligne super-héros.

A voir... AGUIRRE SACASA peut souvent faire des merveilles.
Et je suis pas contre le gore, je suis contre le gore gratuit et sans intérêt qui pollue environ 70% des comics (et 95% les comics DC ;) )

Historiquement, c'est intéressant car le président de Archie Comics en 1954 était le principal responsable de l'avènement du Comics Code et là on lui donne de quoi se retourner dans sa tombe.
D'ailleurs l'horreur fonctionne sur ce mode antithétique: ces personnages n'ont jamais été conçus pour ça.
