J'ai pas vu d'annonces réellement nouvelles, hormis peut-être l'arrivée de Rob de la Torre sur Thunderbolts mais cela avait sans doute déjà été annoncé à San Diego.

The Losers, en ce moment Hellblazer, le pas mauvais Green Arrow Year One, le plutôt bien Adam Strange.
Andy Diggle a plutôt bien bossé sur DC et Vertigo. Je lui trouve du chien. Ca fait plaisir de le voir arriver chez Marvel...

bon, je vous fais confiance pour diggle sur t-bolts et je répéte ma joie de voir de la torre arriver sur le titre.
qd à brub qui quitte les x-men... qu'en dire ? j'avais bien aimé "deadly genesis" et "the rise and fall of the shi'ar empire", mais depuis je n'achète plus aucun autre titre mutant - et les départs de whedon et cassaday sur axm n'ont fait que confirmer cette décision. pour tt dire, je suis totalement largué question mutant.
j'ai l'impression que "messiah complex" a été éclipsé, du moins en france, par "wwh". je me trompe ?
autant j'avais bcp aimé hom et son dénouement radical, autant je trouve qu'il y a encore trop de mutant. néanmoins, j'ai bien aimé les previews d'uncanny x-men 500, surtout les planches de dodson. mais si je reviens vers ce titre, j'aurai besoin d'une bonne remise à niveau.

World War Hulk se termine ce mois-ci en VF alors que Messiah Complex ne commence que le mois prochain donc on ne peut guère dire que l'un fait de l'ombre à l'autre.

Freakwave: "A stranger in paradise" (à suivre)
Scénario: Peter Milligan & Brendan McCarthy

Résumé:
Dans un monde à la Waterworld où tout le monde se proméne sur des planches à voile, un barbare du futur (appelé Drifter) se fait attaquer par les hommes du capitaine Roaring. Il les tue mais tombe inconscient et se retrouve chez Tia, la chef du coin, dans une ville boui-boui. Drifter découvre qu'elle est amie avec le Capitaine et que celui-ci veut l'éliminer. A cette intention, il lui présente Mickey Death, un espèce de barbare customisé. :siffle:

Commentaire:
Commençons par les dessins, peut-être corrects mais noyés sous une pallette de couleurs absolument immonde, censée faire crado. Effet réussi, mais c'est aussi d'une laideur sans nom et on y voit pas grand chose... :oups: Quant à l'histoire, c'est pour l'instant un ramassis de clichés et de situations qui se voudraient sérieuses mais qui sont grotesques: Mickey Death ne ressemble à rien et le coup des planches à voile est asez confondant... :D Bref, faudra vraiment beaucoup aimer Peter Milligan pour sauver cette histoire du naufrage!
Un premier numéro qui fait un peu peur: l'histoire la plus intéressante est celle qu'on attendait pas et les deux autres, à suivre, sont très décevantes et limite consternantes...

Et la contre review que j'avais fait il y a longtemps :
Dans un premier temps, nous allons nous interesser aux 3 premiers numéros de Vanguard illustrated, je vous entends d'ici faisant "Gneuhhh Vangradeuh illustrahtideuh ?", et alors dans un sourire paternel, je vous tapote sur l'épaule, et vous dit que c'est un magazine de bande-dessinée américaine étant une sorte de fourre-tout de qualité, un peu comme A1, des histoires diverses et variés par des hommes qui le sont tout autant. Le seul fait, c'est l'éditeur "PC" qui est moins connu que Eclipse qui s'occupait de A1, et ici c'est un mag américain.
Ensuite vous vous demandez, mais pourquoi papa Johnny nous parle de ce truc de 1983 dont personne n'avait entendu parler ? Haha c'est que ta jeunesse te trahit mon tendre bonhomme, car si tu savais ce que tu rates à l'intérieur de cela tu te mordrerai les testicules, (je pense effectivement faire un néologisme en employant mordre au futur, mais qu'importe, c'est un peu mon oeuvre ce sujet, alors tu n'auras qu'à te créer un index de mes notions).
Mais sache que dans cette critique, je ne te parlerai que d'une des 3 séries présentées à l'intérieur de ce comique boukeuh.
Et je vais m'interesser à un certain Freakwave !, du petit jeunot Peter Milligan, et l'autre compère Brendy McCarthy ! Et là je vois tes yeux briller, car depuis que je les loue, tu as découvert les deux hommes dans leurs vraies natures (enfin surtout eux qui de nos jours est remplacé par une copie extraterrestre qui ne sait rien faire à par parodier...Enfin comme Michael Jackson en somme, ce qui me fait poser cette question : Pourquoi les Extraterrestres n'ont-ils pas kidnapper Alan Moore en même temps que Milligan ? Arrive la théorie du fait que Moore serait un ninja au service de symbiotes extraterrestre et ainsi libre de travailler, ou alors c'est Alan Moore de peur de se voir surpasser par le jeune Milligan l'a kidnappé après la fin de Shade.).
Enfin nous ne sommes pas ici pour parler de cela.

Hé bien, sache que ceci représente du McCarthy jeune, donc peu psychédélique et un poil moins expérimental que plus tard. Mais putain que ça tabasse quand même !
Avant de débuter cette critique, sache que XXL en a parlé avec beaucoup de mauvaise foi ici : :D, moi j'en parlerai en étant parfaitement objectif sur le couple Milligan/Bredan.
Tout débute dans un univers très proche de Waterworld, bon en vérité c'est l'univers de WaterWorld qui se rapproche de Freakwave, le premier constat, ce sont les couleurs très surchargées et qui baisent un peu les yeux pour dire la vérité; pourtant de la manière dont elles sont agencées, donc en s'attardant longuement sur les pages avec des lunettes de soleil, on se rend compte que tout est parfaitement travaillé, mais tout y est poussé à l'extrême, c'est d'ailleurs ce qui qualifie parfaitement la première partie de l'histoire, une histoire irrévérencieusement poussé à son paroxysme, déjà le pitch d'un surfeur qui prend des poses de tueurs, dans un univers de Punk. C'est le monde anarchique des années 80 qui crée un futur étrange, postdaté à nos yeux, assez kitsch, mais qui pourtant sonnerait tellement vrai si l'on vivait encore avec un esprit année 80 de nos jours.
Derrière les étranges couleurs, on ne peut s'empêcher de voir que McCarthy est déjà une brute épaisse qui est capable des meilleurs designs qu'ils soient.
Et l'arrivée de mickey Death a fait de lui mon méchant préféré de tout les temps, un tel design, je trouve ça fabuleux.
En mini conclusion de cette première partie, je pense que ce côté too much, un poil débile (il faut l'avouer), est à mon avis facilement expliquable par le fait que ce comics est plus un méga script de film mad maxien dans l'eau. Et il faut avouer qu'un tel projet de film donne une érection à n'importe quel geek, et nos hommes sont des geeks.
La deuxième partie, je suis convaincu d'un changement de coloriste, aisin nous avons un portrait qui ouvre la première page de toute beauté. Le reste est un immense combat, et des dernières pages avec une mise en scène terrible d'un McCarthy qui se cherche et expérimente des choses diverses et variées : style graphique, design, tags intégrés à la suite séquentielle.
Je ne parlerai pas de la dernière page un poil massacré par les couleurs.
Enfin la conclusion de notre histoire !
La dernière partie est coloré par notre Brendan, et alors des larmes de joies coulent sur nos petites joues rougies par l'émotion, et l'on se prend à rêver de l'intégralité de la saga ainsi peinte.
Et ha que cette dernière partie est parfaitement parfaite, début d'étude de mises en abyme, un fin tag "Ditko is King" montrant tout l'amour de Brendan à son maître, une fin très particulière, et Milligan qui papote une bière à la main de Borgès.
Cette dernière partie est fabuleuse, et il est agréable de voir l'évolution des deux auteurs en quelques pages chaque mois.
Alors oui, on peut dire que cette série est caricaturale, mais en récit anarchique de série Z, c'est quand même très bon. Et Ouais le tout va crescendo.
Alors si toi aussi tu veux découvrir la jeunesse de nos deux hommes chéris.
Achètes !

Over in the final issue of Inhumans, it appears as though Medusa has found her long lost husband. But what kind of shape is he in? What is his reaction to the Skrull invasion? Also keep in mind that this issue is part of the build to War of Kings. Adi Granov continues his killer Iron Man covers, once again showing off his talent for crafting War Machine armor. This series is scheduled to wrap up just after Invasion ends with a War Machine series launching in its place.

Punisher War Journal joins the war as Frank Castle realizes Skrulls are worse than criminals. We're pretty sure he'll be shooting some aliens here. Just a hunch. Speaking of shooting, Deadpool is mixing things up with the aliens a bit in his opening arc as well. To be honest we thought just the first three issues dealt with Skrulls, but Marvel is saying the fourth does as well. When we get the final Skrull text, we'll clarify.

A couple kick ass characters that deal with the aftermath of Invasion and head towards the future direction of Marvel's Universe. First up is Andy Diggle's Thunderbolts. We can't say too much about this one, but we're pretty eager to see how that goes. Guardians of the Galaxy #7 is already referencing itself with its seventh cover paying tribute to its first. There are a few changes though. See if you can't spot them.

Speaking of shooting, Deadpool is mixing things up with the aliens a bit in his opening arc as well. To be honest we thought just the first three issues dealt with Skrulls, but Marvel is saying the fourth does as well. When we get the final Skrull text, we'll clarify.

We can't say too much about this one, but we're pretty eager to see how that goes. Guardians of the Galaxy #7 is already referencing itself with its seventh cover paying tribute to its first. There are a few changes though. See if you can't spot them.

De toute façon, Wolverine et Batman sont des persos très populaires, c'est donc normal qu'on les retrouve dans tant de titres pour le bonheur des fans (dont je fais partie pour les deux d'ailleus).
D'un autre côté, je suis également pour un maximum de variétés; l'univers comics est tellement riche qu'on n'a pas assez d'une vie pour tout découvrir.
Aout 2008, des personnes remarquent que Batman et Wolverine sont présents dans un énorme paquet de comics, et tiennent à faire partager leur nouvelle découverte.
Bravo.
Pas pour rien qu'Amalgam Comics les avait melanges.

barnes & nobles en avait sorti.. a mon avis pour le golden age Y de fortes chances que tu doives te brosser pendant longtemps... soit ils sortent masterworks HC puis SC 6 mois apres soit ils vont juste utilisé le sstocks de hc mais lentement pour pas boiuffer la marge de vente des HC
